A Mugshot for the Ages: Trump Delivers a Master Class on the Art of the Political Counterpunch

By Paul Serran
Aug. 27, 2023 9:15 am

As much as we lionize Donald Trump as a superior mind and 5G chess master, for the most part, what makes him exceptional is his constant dishing out of unapologetic common sense – something that is not so common, anymore.

Also, DTJ is not infallible, and is liable to make mistakes and wrong moves.

But every now and then, a situation arises that allows him to show some mad game-theory skills and portray his mastery of the information war.

That was the case with the ‘mugshot for the ages’, a real masterclass in the art of the political counterpunch.

In boxing, a counterpunch is a blow that immediately follows an attack launched by an opponent. It exploits the opening created in an opponent’s guard.

It’s all about timing.

It’s also one of the hardest and most important skills to learn, because the best time to hit your opponent is when he’s throwing a punch at you

In other words: every time someone attacks you, they open up a window of opportunity like no other for ‘retribution’.

Take, for example, Trump’s recent arrest and indictment in Fulton County, Georgia.

It’s what a conservative analyst called ‘the most brazenly political prosecution yet – a tall order given the litany of ludicrous charges which have already befallen the ex-Commander in Chief’.

It was The (Mug)Shot Heard Around The World.

In the other 3 fake prosecutions of DJT, the ‘authorities’ had the sense of not making a ‘mugshot’ out of him, afraid that he would exploit it politically.

Oh, boy – were they right.

Fulton Co. DA, Fani Willis, on the other hand, wanted to humble DTJ, humiliate him, cut him down to size.

That was a BIG miscalculation. Our enemies just don’t know when to stop – due to their ‘sunk cost fallacy’, they have to proceed in their folly even if it’s to their big disadvantage.

As for Trump, he is a ‘moves and countermoves’ guy, and was going to prove so yet again.

To begin with, he dodged the GOP debate designed as a perfect opportunity to have the ‘also-ran’ political midgets attack him.

Instead, he was interviewed by Tucker Carlson, in what became the most watched interview of all times, currently at 260M views.

That, alone, was a perfect power play – but the best was yet to come.

After surrendering in Fulton, being processed and booked, and having his mugshot released, DJT engaged in what can be seen as a masterful counterpunch: he got back on Twitter/X, where he had not posted since January 2021, and shared his mugshot in a post that, by now, has had over 240M views.

That’s half a billion views in just a couple of days!

X’s owner, Elon Musk, reacted by saying that was ‘next level’. And it was.
The reaction all over American society – and the world – was immediate. DJT’s ‘street-cred’ went through the roof, and his popularity and vote intention – as measured by the polls – keeps growing by the hour.

The art of the counterpunch is real, and former President Donald John Trump is a master of it. He is winning the information war by a country mile, and his supporters are electrified like never before.

None of this, of course, guarantees his victory on election day – there still need to be a host of countermeasures to keep Democrats from stealing yet another vote.

But without this clear and unmistakable lead in the public opinion forum, he wouldn’t have a fighting chance

If Fani Willis is going to indict Trump, then she also needs to indict Fani Willis too because she did the exact same thing that she's claiming Trump did.

JUST IN: Fani Willis Questioned 2020 Election In Facebook Posts: ‘What Ballots Are They Throwing Out?’

By Ilan Hulkower
August 25, 2023 | Updated: August 27, 2023

Perhaps Fani Willis, the District Attorney for Fulton County, who indicted the Republican frontrunner for questioning the 2020 election should prosecute herself given that she appears to have done the same thing.

The prosecutor has made many posts on social media questioning election outcomes and procedures. She did so not only for the 2020 election but also concerning the 2018 midterm elections. As Benny Johnson observed, “Fulton County DA Fani Willis regularly questioned election results & used her office to push unfounded election conspiracies. On the eve of Trump’s arrest in Georgia for “challenging” an election — a deep dive into the prosecutor’s history of doing the *same* thing.”

Attached to Johnson’s post was a statement by Willis that “A TEAM of lawyers needs to watch” what occurs in Georgia and ensure every vote is counted. She noted that the team should start in her own county and ensure that Georgia gives “an honest accounting” without “stunts.” In her rant, she also noted the strange and convenient water leaks that occur in that county.

Benny Johnson further wrote, “As a public official, Fani Willis regularly and consistently questioned Georgia’s election procedures and pushed unfounded election conspiracy theories on her public social media profile. Fani is indicting Trump for the *exact* same thing.”

Attached to that post is Willis asking “Why Fulton” after news of a water burst interrupting ballot counting broke. Nor is Fani Willis new to expressing election skepticism. Benny Johnson noted that “In the days following the 2018 midterms, Fani Willis expressed concerns about the election not being properly run by implying all votes weren’t counted.”

Attached to that comment was Willis’s November 24, 2018 Facebook post that read in part “You all better start paying attention to what is really going on…and pay attention to reality” in connection to vote counting. Johnson also found that “[h]ours after the last ballots in the 2018 midterms were cast, Fani Willis openly boasts about the power Georgia’s Secretary of State has to” manipulate elections.

Attached to that was her post where she wrote of the Secretary of State’s office, “That person controls elections. I wonder if we yet realize that is an important role.” It gets worse for Willis, though, as one of her posts in 2020 noted that the 2020 election was a “mess.” Johnson observed, “Two days following the 2020 election she is now criminally indicting Trump for questioning, Fani Willis directly calls the election a “mess” … This meme was posted on her Facebook— seemingly agreeing with Trump on the poor election procedures in 2020.”

Conservative commentator Collin Rugg also revealed that there were posts by the DA where “she told her followers she was ‘scared’ that they ‘messed up’ the election.”

“Days later on November 7th, Willis released multiple posts explaining how proud she was that Kamala Harris was the next vice president. Does anyone actually believe this woman has the ability to enforce the law equally and fairly?”

The Georgia case is falling apart but they don’t need it.  All they need is one.

It seems like everything they try to do to Trump only strengthens his poll numbers and increases donations to his campaign...

BACKFIRE: President Trump SHATTERS Personal Fundraising Record After Fulton County Mugshot

By Cullen Linebarger

The latest attempt to humiliate President Trump has officially turned into an epic backfire.

The Gateway Pundit reported that Trump was booked in Fulton County on speech charges on Thursday evening.

Trump has been hit with 13 charges related to his effort to challenge the 2020 election in Georgia as Cristina Laila previously revealed. These include RICO and conspiracy charges against Trump.

The left surely thought the combination of these bogus charges and a mugshot would demoralize Team Trump and his supporters. But the exact opposite occurred.

As Politico reported Sunday, Trump and his campaign managed to turn his Georgia mugshot into a record-shattering fundraising haul.

Team Trump on Friday alone raised $4.18 million, which made it easily the single highest total 24-hour period of his campaign to date.

The campaign has added nearly three million more since, for an estimated total of 7.1 million and counting.

Here is what is fueling the campaign’s record fundraising haul, according to Politico:

The campaign’s fundraising has been powered by merchandise it has been selling through his online store. After Trump was taken into custody, the campaign began selling shirts, posters, bumper stickers and beverage coolers bearing Trump’s scowling mugshot.

The items bear the tagline “NEVER SURRENDER!” and range in price from $12 to $34.

The campaign has also been prodding online donors with emails and text messages. And on Thursday night, while flying back from Atlanta to Bedminster, N.J. Trump sent out his first tweet in more than two years directing supporters to his website.

The site’s landing page includes the mugshot and asks supporters to “make a contribution to evict Crooked Joe Biden from the White House and SAVE AMERICA during this dark chapter in our nation’s history.

Politico also notes that multiple private organizations have been attempting to capitalize off the world’s most famous mugshot. Barstool, for example, is selling their own Trump mugshot shirt for $32.

With his base, not with independent voters.

Any independent that will vote Democrat should quit calling themselves independent and joint the Democrat party!

Note: There are a lot of Republicans who claim they're Independent because they don't want the heat that comes with registering as Republican. But when voting time comes around, they'll vote Republican.
