They didn’t then but they might have to in the future as they are forced into EVs.

Not in Florida, but for any state that forces EVs, they'll end up with emergency vehicles that ran out of electricity on the way to the scene or at the scene and won't be able to function as an emergency vehicle any more until they're recharged. And if you're in an area like Florida where power might be out for 4 or 5 days, those EVs will become DVs (Dead Vehicles)... not (Domestic Violence)! (* CHUCKLE *)

Eventually EVs will fall out of favor with first responder organizations, and then where will we be?

Hopefully, they will never go into favor.

You'll see a bunch of s##theads sitting around crying and screaming that they shouldn't have gotten rid of fossil fuel vehicles while their house burns down, or one of their relatives drowns, or... the possibilities are unlimited.

Just one more reason why NOT to use EV vehicles for rescue vehicles. You don't have to wait for what will happen when you can read what will happen now and prevent it!!!

Only the fools won't listen!

Maybe they don’t care. Although if the people making decisions aren't living in dangerous areas either, it may never affect them.

I hope not but I’m hearing of cities that have pledged to go EV on all vehicles.
