Although Feinstein was liberal she was against the Green New Deal and she was in favor of the military. She occasionally reached across the aisle to the other party. Anyway who replaces her will be extremely left wing as those who running against her are all extremists.

Newsom can’t win, as whoever gets appointed has a strong chance of winning the election as an incumbent. If he selects anyone other than Schiff, Lee or Porter, all of whom are running, that person could conceivably run and win. He also promised to appoint a Black woman which means Lee should get it. So now he’s dancing and said he will select a temporary fill in.  Either way, this could derails his hopes for president and should. He never should have made a promise he knew he would not keep. He had a good idea Feinstein would not be able to fulfill her term.

Actually, they are suggesting that.  It’s a lifelong guaranteed job for her. It gets rid of the Harris problem for the party in 2024. If she sticks with the possibility of becoming president, her career ends with Biden.

He replaced Feinstein with a Black woman who lives out of state. This should prove interesting. She is registered to vote and lives in Maryland but that location has been removed from her website. This move also guarantees that Adam Schiff will be the next senator voted into office in CA
