He was a liberal and the media is blaming him. They are saying it may have been self defense.  He was punched and hit on the head, then his head cracked when he hit the ground.

It doesn't matter how the media attempt to spin the story...

Was the guy who hit him over the head charged with murder or not?

I cannot read that article because it says I must stop blocking ads to be able to read their site. And I only block 3rd party cookies.

You hit a guy in the head with a megaphone... he dies. A good forensics (post mortem) analysis would be easily able to tell whether his head was cracked by a flat concrete sidewalk or a round object.

Israeli Troops Fighting "In The Heart" Of Gaza City, Hamas Leader Surrounded In A Bunker

BY TYLER DURDEN
WEDNESDAY, NOV 08, 2023 - 03:39 AM

Update(1339ET): Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant issued a Tuesday battlefield update announcing that for the first time Israeli troops are "in the heart" of Gaza City. He then said, that "Gaza is the largest terrorist base ever built" and further, "We are going to destroy Hamas."

The defense chief also appeared to reject US pressure to implement a humanitarian "pause". Gallant emphasized, "there will be no humanitarian truce without the return of the hostages." He further said the IDF now has Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar surrounded in a bunker. He noted that fighting is happening in residential areas.

A new speech by Prime Minister Netanyahu affirmed the same, and again put Hezbollah in Lebanon on notice:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the IDF has been reaching deeper into Gaza than Hamas ever imagined, warning Lebanon’s Hezbollah that it would be making the “greatest mistake of its life” if it opens a new full-on war front.

Speaking from the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv, Netanyahu says he is addressing the nation in order to update them on the war.

“In the south, the war is moving forward with force that Hamas has never seen,” he says. “Gaza City is surrounded. We are operating within it, we are deepening the pressure on Hamas every hour, every day.”

"There will be no entry of fuel into Gaza or a ceasefire without the return of the kidnapped people," he also said.

A Sky News correspondent in southern Israel has remarked this will be the most "complex urban fighting environment that any soldier will have to deal with". Soldiers on the ground inside Gaza City could make any airstrikes "potentially be more accurate" - the correspondent noted.

Hamas has meanwhile continued claiming to have taken out multiple Israeli tanks and military vehicles:

Massive overnight explosions have been observed in South Lebanon as Israel attacks Hezbollah positions, responding to ongoing fire...

* * *

The Biden White House has lately floated a plan that would see international peacekeeping forces control the security situation in the Gaza Strip once the war is over, which is premised on the total demise of Hamas, proving no small task especially given the immense network of miles of tunnels the group can utilize.

The post-Hamas "day after" has also been subject of proposals out of some leading Congressmen. There was speculation at first that Israeli leadership might welcome this, but a new televised interview with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu which aired Monday night reveals different thinking in Tel Aviv. Netanyahu asserted it is Israel which will have "security responsibility" over the Gaza Strip for some 'indefinite' amount of time after the conflict is over.

"I think Israel will for an indefinite period have security responsibility," Netanyahu told ABC News. "We’ve seen what happens when we don’t have that… security responsibility, what we have is the eruption of Hamas terror on a scale that we couldn’t imagine."

The comments come after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed 30 Israeli troops have been killed in combat in Gaza since the ground war was launched. At this point over 10,000 Gazans - mostly civilians - have been killed, primarily by the unrelenting aerial assault. But here's what Blinken said just last week in Israel:

"The idea of Hamas remaining responsible for governance such as it was and posing an ongoing and enduring threat to Israel and its citizens is unacceptable," said Blinken. "We also know that Israel cannot reassume control and responsibility for Gaza, and it's important to note that Israel has made it clear that it has no intention or desire to do that. So within those parameters, we are and will continue to have discussions with partners throughout the region and well beyond about what should follow."

After US Secretary of State Antony Blinken just traveled to region again to meet with both Israeli and Arab leaders, it became clear that Washington is not in favor of a ceasefire, but Biden's top diplomat did push for human

Israel Intercepts Ballistic Missile in Space with Arrow Defense System in First-Ever Space Combat

By Jim H?ft
Nov. 6, 2023 11:30 am

Last week marked a historic milestone in military defense: the first combat ever to take place beyond Earth’s atmosphere.

Israel’s celebrated Arrow missile-defense system was activated in response to a ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis, aimed at the Israeli port city of Eilat during the incident on Oct. 30, the Telegraph reported.

It can be recalled that Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces and also the spokesperson for Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, announced that they have launched massive military strikes against Israeli targets in the “occupied territories.”

“Swords of Iron: The IAF carried out the first operational interception of a ballistic missile threat by the “Arrow” system in the Red Sea region. The threat did not infiltrate into Israeli airspace,” the Ministry of Defense confirmed.

The Israeli Defense Forces shared a video clip showing the moment of the interception. The video shows a cylindrical shape representing the incoming ballistic missile, which is suddenly obliterated in an explosion.

“The IAF’s Arrow Aerial Defense System intercepted a surface-to-surface missile in the Red Sea area,” the IDF announced.

WATCH:

The Arrow Weapon System (AWS) is a missile defense system designed to intercept and destroy ballistic missiles. It’s the world’s first stand-alone anti-tactical ballistic missile defense system. The AWS includes both Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 interceptors, which can intercept short, medium, and long-range ballistic missiles.

“The Arrow is an advanced air defense system created and designed to intercept ballistic missiles outside of the Earth’s atmosphere,” said Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) per Breaking Defense.

“The Arrow system […] demonstrated today that Israel possesses the most advanced technology for defense against ballistic missiles at various ranges,” CEO and President of the IAI, Boaz Levy, said.

From Israel Aerospace Industries:

The Arrow 3 interceptor is part of the Arrow Weapon System (AWS) which is the world’s first operational, national, stand-alone ATBM (Anti Tactical Ballistic Missiles) defense system. Based on the uniquely effective Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 interceptors, the Arrow modular air defense systems detect, tracks, intercepts and destroys incoming TBMs carrying a range of warheads and over a large footprint, thereby protecting strategic assets and population centers.

The innovative Arrow 3 interceptor is designed to intercept and destroy the newest, longer-range threats, especially those carrying weapons of mass destruction.

Arrow 3 integrates seamlessly into the Arrow Weapon System (AWS) complementing the current and future blocks of the Arrow 2 interceptor, thus enabling upper-tier multiple engagement opportunities.

FBI Director Testifies Threat of Antisemitism Reaching ‘Historic Levels’

FBI director Christopher Wray testifies before a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., August 4, 2022. (Jim Bourg/Reuters)

FBI director Christopher Wray testified Tuesday that antisemitic threats are reaching “historic levels” across the U.S. in the wake of Hamas’s attack on Israel.

“I will say that this is a threat that is reaching in some ways sort of historic levels, in part because, as you know all too well, the Jewish community is targeted by terrorists really across the spectrum,” Wray said before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. “In fact, our statistics would indicate that for a group that represents only about 2.4 percent of the American public, they account for something like 60 percent of all religious-faith hate crimes.”

The FBI director added his agency is doing its part to tackle the rise in antisemitism, particularly through its Joint Terrorism Task Forces and hate-crime investigations. He assured the committee that “we’re seeing the full landscape and doing our best to be proactive in this space.”

Wray’s comments come amid a significant uptick in antisemitic threats on college campuses and in cities across the U.S. following Hamas’s October 7 terrorist attack on Israel.

The rise in antisemitic bigotry also prompted the Virginia governor to act. On Tuesday, Governor Glenn Youngkin (R., Va.) signed an executive directive designed to combat antisemitism in Virginia and the state’s schools.

Executive Directive Six allows the Commonwealth to coordinate with educational institutions, both K-12 and higher-education, and law enforcement entities to fight threats of violence against any religious community. The governor signed a similar directive on his first day in office.

Youngkin said on national television he has received mounting concerns from both the Jewish and Muslim communities due to the ongoing war in the Middle East.

“Hatred, intolerance, and antisemitism have no place in Virginia,” Youngkin said in a statement announcing the new state order. “As Governor, the safety and security of all Virginians is my paramount concern. Virginia is the birthplace of the freedom of religion in America, and protecting the community centers and houses of worship of the Jewish people is paramount. But this commitment extends to all religions, including those of the Muslim faith, who are increasingly concerned about backlash.”

In response to the rise of antisemitism on campus, Harvard University announced last week the creation of an advisory board to “disrupt and dismantle” efforts to threaten or intimidate Jewish students.

“Antisemitism has a very long and shameful history at Harvard,” Harvard president Claudine Gay said Friday at a Hillel Shabbat dinner announcing the body’s creation. “For years, this University has done too little to confront its continuing presence. No longer.”

MOSSAD’S TACTICAL WIN: Israeli Intelligence Foils Hezbollah’s Plan to Attack Brazil

By Fernando De Castro
Nov. 10, 2023 5:20 pm

The Mossad, Israel’s secret service, aided Brazil’s Federal Police in thwarting terrorist attacks planned by Hezbollah. Brazilian law enforcement initiated an intelligence operation that led to the arrest of two individuals linked to the terrorist group.

Dubbed “Operation Trapiche,” Brazilian police executed two temporary arrest warrants and 11 search and seizure warrants. The operations took place in the states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo, and the Federal District.

The terrorists were affiliated with the Hezbollah terrorist group, which had intentions to attack buildings within the Brazilian Jewish community. According to investigators, the suspects may face charges under anti-terrorism laws, carrying penalties of up to 15 years and 6 months in prison.

Mossad collaborated with Brazil’s Federal Police intelligence to dismantle the terrorist network planning attacks against Jews. The office of Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, confirmed the Israeli secret service’s involvement in Brazil’s defense.

PM Netanyahu’s office stated:

“Brazilian security services, alongside Mossad and our partners in the Israeli security community, along with other international security agencies, thwarted a terrorist attack in Brazil planned by Hezbollah, an organization directed and funded by Iran,” Israel’s government announced through social media.

The Israeli government explained the objectives of the terrorist cell in Brazil and expressed gratitude for the cooperation of Brazil’s Federal Police:

“This was an extensive network operating in multiple countries. Mossad appreciates the Brazilian security services for apprehending a terrorist cell operated by Hezbollah, aiming to launch an attack on Israeli and Jewish targets in Brazil.”

Israel also asserted that Hezbollah and Iran persist in targeting Israeli, Jewish, and Western interests:

“Against the backdrop of the Gaza conflict with the terrorist organization Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranian regime continue to operate globally, targeting Israeli, Jewish, and Western interests.”

Excellent video of VDH. I listened to the whole thing.  Anyone who wants to understand Middle East crisis from an u biased viewpoint should listen.  Hansen is part of a think tank and is somewhat non partisan.  He speaks of things that are of interest to all sides without blame and without trying to sway opinions. He’s all about explaining and understanding. He talks about how the left in the U.S. underestimated the horror of attacking children and babies would turn people against their agenda and how even the squad has had to pull back on rhetoric.
