Funny. Just looped letter that are attached.

In the not so distant future, there will be a whole generation who are unable to read their grandparents' love letters, or even original legal documents like the deed to the family farm or other historical materials that pre-date the typewriter.

Same with manuscripts and such, to the next generations, might as well have been written in Sanskrit transliterated into ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs mixed with Mayan symbols.

They can get a phone app to translate cursive for them.

Only if the coders know the language to begin with.

Why would they modify it if the goal is to translate it?

Only if the goal was to do like the Ministry of Truth and make the translation compliant with the NewSpeak of the future.
