It's  interesting that she was about this far along in her pregnancy with Archie, yet she had no problem flying from England to New York for a lavish baby shower, however, considering the allegations she made about the Royal family, it's probably a good thing she didn't go, Honestly I can't imagine they'd really want her there after all that.  Of course she has also said she didn't want to be the center of attention. How arrogant is that?

Why would she expect to be the center of attention at her grandfather in law’s memorial?  It’s not about her.  Her behavior is sad.

It is sad.  She isn't really happy if she is not the center of attention which could be another reason she wanted to leave the Royal family. Since Prince Harry does not yet have real connections here as far as friends, etc. she would tend to be the center of his attention. Have you noticed that when there's an article about some charity work she's doing, the article tends to be more about her than whatever charity she's supposed to be promoting?

Just occurred to me that another reason she may feel she'd be the center of attention if she were to attend Prince Phillips funeral could be that she has, and does play the victim so she may feel, or better yet, expect that if she was there the family members would be all over themselves trying to make her feel welcome, and to make up for the hurt, grief, and anxiety they supposedly caused her. 

I didn’t notice that before the wedding but yes, recently every article is about her, and not even about Harry.  She seems to forget, he’s the prince and the one who interests the world.  

Maybe that is why she won’t attend.  She knows the media will be all over her because she has become the big story.

Well, there's a lot which has been hidden to the general public about the Royal's absurd standards, customs and other quirks.

A Japanese TV station carried a 2 hour special which included Meghan and Diana.

Did you know that Queen Elizabeth didn't breastfeed Charles? And she requested that Diana didn't breast feed her children either but Diana refused.

Diana was absurdly flabbergasted that she had to curtsy in front of the Queen.

She learned that Prince Charles was seeing somebody else prior to their marriage but went through with the marriage anyway. And after she learned that, she became stressed and started eating bulimicly to the point that she lost so much weight that her wedding dress had to be taken in 3 or 4 times before the wedding!

Diana also wanted to spend more time with her kids, but the royals insisted that she spend less time with the kids and more time in her role as Princess.

And then, when she finally fit into the role model that they wanted her in, they discovered that she was more popular world wide than Prince Charles and thus asked that she back off of her public appearances.

She was shown in either Vietnam, Cambodia or some other Asian country wearing a full face mask and bomb protection gear walking through an area that had warning posts all over it. Of course, I'm sure that they had cleared the area of all land mines prior to her arrival, but the press ate up her walking through that warning mine field area!

And then it went on about several other quirks which Diana didn't like and finally moved into Meghan's current situation!

Sadly though, it was all in Japanese and I don't know if an English rendition of it is available or not.

Royalty is a big PITA!!!

They specifically said that it was NOT the queen or Prince Philip that said the comment about skin colour, only that it was one of the senior royals. That could be any of the queen's children, their being the senior royals. By not saying who it was, they are avoiding further controversy. Bad enough that someone said it without calling out who it was.

When someone is given the title to a Duchy, such as that of Sussex, they traditionally derive an income from that. That may be part of what was cut off, also the money to pay for security detail. Because Archie was not given a title, he was not entitled to security which could put his life in danger. Even with security, someone made it into the queen's bedroom years ago. At least that was harmless. Would you take a chance on your child's life?

I don't care about their titles or their income, but the bottom line is they are human, they are an interracial couple raising a child together, and they live under a virtual microscope. Can't we just leave them to get on with it.
