Nice try, but Abbot and Texas have nothing to do with OPEC!

apparently, you missed the 'and' - those are two primary reasons for the price hike

No... I didn't miss it. We didn't import much oil in 2020, but we are importing it now. Thus OPEC prices didn't affect our 2020 gas prices. But when current admin decided to stop fracking and local drilling as well as cancelling the pipeline, we became dependent on OPEC because we had to import rather than procure locally. And when OPECs prices went up, the price of gas went up with it.

That is the primary reason for gas prices going up... neither Abbot nor Texas nor OPEC! We were oil independent and thus OPEC prices didn't affect us. But as soon as current admin kicked in new policies... we became oil dependent and thus OPEC prices are higher than what we previously procured gas locally for and thus the price hike.

And on top of that... add in California's blend gas which an additional increase and wala... yet another addition gas hike specifically for California.

They are talking about a national gas tax for infrastructure because gas isn’t expensive enough already.  They may as well squeeze out what they can from drivers.

Well then... add the infrastructure tax which current admin approved and you have yet another gas price hike as well... on top of the OPEC rise in price and California's blend gas hike.

Again... absolutely nothing to do with either Abbot or Texas... but current admin's policies.

It’s very obviously due to the administration, since the prior administration and some of the lowest gas prices and more oil favoring policies.  There were also many jobs lost as a result.

Sorry I just saw your post.  I gave you voice so you can post directly.  That is high!  I thought most people in SF don’t have cars due to lack of parking.

Plenty of people still have cars despite the lack of parking.

They must park somewhere.   Read that you have the highest rents in the country. You may have the highest gas prices too.

Parking is a problem, for sure. City leaders attempt to discourage driving by all means possible, such as by removing traffic lanes and parking spaces by the thousands. For those of us who live in the outermost neighborhoods, however, driving is pretty much a necessity. However, if I need to go downtown, which is especially awful in terms of driving conditions, I do take the bus--and I hate doing it.
