I'm going to cook up some bacon.  About half way through add some onions and some quartered Brussels Sprouts.  After they've softened up add some cheese and eggs.  And now that I thought about it, I'll add some Hatch chiles that I froze last August too.

That sounds good.

I have sort of given up on breakfast for the time being...I am on a 16/8 fasting protocol and I stop eating at 7 PM and don't eat again until noon, so I guess technically it's a 17/7 protocol but whatever.

One of my favorite breakfasts is pretty simple.  Blacken a nice piece of redfish and then cook a couple of eggs in the pan after the fish is done.  A couple of pieces of toast and butter and a big cup of CDM coffee and chicory with a heavy dose of half and half and some sugar.  That's my idea of a great way to start the day.

I accidentally do that fasting a couple of times a week.  Just get too busy and forget about eating.

What's that mean Hax?   Fast from 7pm to noon (17 hours) then how much do you eat in the 7 hours?

Man, you Louisiana boys and your chicory.  I never understood the attraction.

Why do you want to ruin a perfectly good breakfast burrito filling by adding miniature cabbage ?

Love the brussel sprouts w/bacon!  Wife makes them and they are tender and delicious.  I make them and they are hard and sour and terrible.

agreed.  I will get 'shredded Brussels' and I will sauté them with onions, garlic, and bell pepper...awesome stuff.

I haven't bought a green bell pepper in decades, I use Jalapenos instead.

Bacon changes the whole game.  I ended up skipping the tortilla.  As usual, I cooked the eggs perfect.  The wife murders the eggs more often than not.
