Interesting convo with a really smart guy that I respect.   He is a lifelong Democrat but he's going to vote next week for "my values".

His values just so happen to align with the Republican/Trump platform.   He specifically said "I am not voting for Mr. Trump".

Wondering if GEAers feel the same or similar?   Are you voting for Mr. Trump? or for the values that he champions? or both? or neither (Matt that one is for you...).  :)

I think most who vote for Trump are voting for American Values.

Most don't like loudmouth bullies, so it's not the man they like, just what he has done or wants to do.
Biden/Harris, with partners Peloso, Schumer, Schiff, AOC, etc, isn't exactly a likable ticket either.

If any candidate said and did what Trump does, I would vote for them.

IDGAF about Trump's tactics...I love the results.

Trump is an idiot and I dislike him.

But the Democrats are God forsaking Communists, they all must die.

So I'm left with the mumble-mouthed moron.

A vote for Joe is a vote for the most liberal/socialist senator in the US Senate to become president.  Is this really what you want?

I saw him on Fox today giving a speech without makeup. He looked like he had been peppered with 20 gauge shot all over his face. He's not long for this world.

You are 100% correct about the Democratic Party and their supporters.

They are the party that when they don't get their way, they view the Constitution as 'illegitimate'.

The big things that Trump has worked on are not and should not be "red or blue" issues.  He has done nothing on guns (disappointing as the BATFE is making up bullshit every other day), He has not done anything on aborition, his response to China Plague was to delegate power to the governors (constitutionally correct).  OK, he cut taxes and regulations...that is not something D's do, but restructuring NAFTA, staying out of the Paris Accords, forcing NATO to meet their defense obligations, fixing the VA, and many more are things that everyone should be on board with.

Trump has not been a truly 'conservative' POTUS.  He has been a pragmatic POTUS with a nationalist/populist streak.  Does he get it right 100% of the time?  No.  Has he accomplished a shit ton of stuff in 3.5 years with what seems like the whole world against him.  You get your ass.

I have said this before, and I'll say it again, if the Democrats were the party of blue collar workers, the little guy, the small business person, and rabidly anti-communist and pro-America, and actually RESPECTED the US Constitution...I'd be one.  But they aren't.

I am a Republican, not because I love them, but because they fit more closely with my world view.  Prior to DJT, I was growing to hate them more than Democrats, because Republicans should know better.  I grew to expect leftist communist fuckery from the DNC, but being betrayed by the GOP...no sir, that brings a level of anger that far surpasses my disdain for Democrats.

Trump should have killed the H-1b WHACG (We Hate American College Grads) program on January 21st 2017, not waited until late 2020.
