Yes, she's a terror. I'm not sure how much longer we can handle her. She not only beats me up, she is getting into cabinets and putting out stuff to tear up!

How are you doing? Fine, I hope!

Hi Kathy, The pup will come around. Terriers will drive you crazy for 2 years then settle down to be great dogs. That was how Brody was. I'm doing good. Hope you are doing much better. Gary :-)

Oh, yeah! Well, I did tell her I was crazy.

If the COPD thread stays here, I'll probably visit more. I did visit the last site a long while back, but jumping between the 2 sites was tough.

COPD diagnosed February 2013. Early/mid stage 2.

See you all soon.

Hi Kathy, So you are kooky and crazy? :) Nice to meet you! I hope you are okay and your emphysema is not too bad. I was diagnosed after X-Ray and breathing test in Sept. 2013, then I went to work on quitting smoking. I actually did some reading on the About.com COPD site, and that is how I found their quit smoking forum which has helped me a lot. I love my goodies, but I do try to eat healthy and I am at an acceptable weight. I walk my dog a couple of miles a day. I can do hills, but get out of breath if I go too fast. By the way, I'm 63 and smoked for about 42 years, quit on Oct. 1, 2013. Have new insurance and have an appointment with new doctor next week and will see what she has to say. For the most part, I'm doing okay and glad to be here as a nonsmoker!

P.S. Love your doggie! I have a German Shepherd/Black Lab mix about one year nine months old and she's a good girl :)

Thanks and take care,

Anna

Hi Garry, Glad to see you stopped by. I knew you were on the StopSmoking Forum quite a bit. I stopped over every once in a while. Gary :-)

2-1/2 years now. I was just a newby when I first went exploring.

New insurance now. Doc putting me through every test he can. Have already seen 4 of 6 scheduled specialists. Multiple CT Scans & XRays, blood work (5 times and counting), EKG's, Heart sonograms, recent cystoscopy which found Bladder Cancer. Early stage. Surgery schedule in a couple of weeks.

No Pulmo though. Been on lots of meds and a variety of inhalers. I know it can only give relief as there is no cure. Just don't really know if any have been working.

He's prescribed some other inhalers, but due to my type of insurance, somebody who never met or examined me in some state far away is dictating what meds my Doc can authorize. Already denied a few. I guess it's OK. a couple I've taken before and wasn't worth $300+ each/month.

I know my limitations and do everything now in moderation.

Good to hear from you again.

Garry

Good to be back (in both forums, but now 1 easy location). Hope this continues.

I want to be here more regularly.

We'll be talking.
