Good morning Kitty.  Rain for 3 days here, probably similar to there and out in Ohio.

Looked like 4 watches the other day but he's bees gone for 11 years, so any that looked

valuable could have disappeared.  I'm going to check the rest for any engravings when I'm

back there.

We've started giving Brandy one of her second pain pills, 3 is her normal dose.  Might go

to three next week.

We've been retired four years Tuesday.  Wife went back for one day, she was worried about

doing without her paycheck.  She has to have one of my pensions because her job didn't

have one.

I need to finish one of my electronic projects in the basement, during the rainy days,

but I end up coming upstairs to see Brandy.  I think we will be able to walk in the afternoon

today.

I have the picture of my parents double wedding with my dad's brother and his wife.  It's

a 5 x7 but I got a copy at 8x 10.  After I rebuild the farmhouse I will hang it there, it's from

July 1946.  They met the day my dad came home from WW2 in 1945.  He was looking for

my uncle that had also just come home from the war.  We hope to copy a farm near here

and place a huge boulder in the front lawn with a 4th generation plaque attached to it.

Will be a huge project and probably the last one for wife and I.

Have a good day Kitty.

Dear Ernie,

Yes, I think perhaps animals do have a sense that they are ill.  Phoebe would recline in front of the fireplace for hours, but pick up her head every five minutes or so just to see that I was there.  It makes me feel so sad for you and the family.

Lots of rain and WIND the last day.  Many power outages around the Lake.  Been down with a head cold.  Decided not to do physical therapy yesterday.  Going to babysit Bronwen tonight.  No big week-end plans.  Our neighborhood has an informal get together....we'll see about that.  50 degrees and windy doesn't exactly entice me to go.

Have a nice Memorial Day week-end.  Susan

Hi Kitty,

Sitting here with my morning cup of coffee looking outside at the dreary day.  40 some degrees, overcast and very windy.  We had gale wind warnings yesterday!

Somehow caught a cold and spent most of yesterday down in bed.  Feel a bit better today.  Babysitting Bronwen tonight but no big Memorial Day Plans.  Certainly NOT a good week-end for picnics and outside activities.

Continuing on with physical therapy.  Can't wait for it to be over.   ((hug))  Susan

Good morning Susan.  Sorry you're down with a cold, hope you felt better to
watch your Bronwen.  You and Kitty both in therapy, I probably should be for

the one arm / shoulder but putting it off.

Brandy walked beside me yesterday instead of out front.  She always takes point like

most of the canine beings I've known.  I am going to miss her and, like always, it's very

painful saying goodbye.  Keep thinking about all the friends I've lost and the good times

Brandy and I have had.

One of my wife's aunts is sick, her husband thinks she got the virus at church so I might

put off going back to church for a while.  Our church just started going without preregistration

last week.  It's a large church with couple hundred people.  My wife's parents church usually

has 8 to 15 people.

Have been looking for gaps in the rain for Brandy and I to walk because she doesn't have long

and laying around the living room doesn't seem like living.  she only goes a few miles, then bring

her back and I go back out alone for a longer walk to burn off glucose.

Hope your day goes well and get well soon.

Good morning Kitty.  Chilly days.  I've watched some church sermons on youtube,

haven't done anything that's 2-way or interactive.

My parents did well until the early 70s, then they started separating, and divorced around 78.

My mom continued to smoke and died in 87.  A tragic end to the story, she was only 61.  My dad

lived on in the farmhouse until 2010.  Two of his sisters moved there to die.

Hope to put the boulder there with a plaque after we are finished rebuilding and building and

the fourth generation are young adults.  Shouldn't take long, first one is 17 now.  You remember

me always talking about my granddaughter,  She doesn't hang around me much anymore.

Have a good day Kitty.

Granddaughter in front of my SS back in 2013, I think.

A beautiful Sunday morning here ~ a bit chilly (in the 60's by afternoon).   Not to worry....it's what happens when grandchildren grow up.  They become teenagers and are off and about with their own friends.  That's why I enjoy Bronwen at age 3-1/2.  Spend the time while she finds me fascinating.  LOL. Not to worry,  your granddaughter will always remember the memories she and you shared together.

A neighborhood get together with a food truck and a band.  Do not feel much like going....but will see how I feel at 4:00 p.m.   This may be what happens when we take off our masks....germs everywhere...   Susan

You are most fortunate with no colds.  My thinking is that I took off my masks (not everywhere) but enough to catch a cold and bug. Will run its course sooner or later.  We did babysit Bronwen last night from 4:30 to almost 10:00 p.m.  At 9:45, I called her parents and told them that Bronwen would not settle and it was time or me to go home!!!!

Sunny Sunday here.  Enjoy the week-end.  Susan
