Good morning Kitty.  Good chance of rain here today, hope not on the farm.

Have waited for it to be dry at least somewhat.  Have a field and a lawn to mow,

Hope to take the garbage down to landfill also and take care of kitty litter.  Lot of

equipment involved, 2 tractors, brush hog, truck and trailer.  Hope all works and

me also.

My daughter has been gathering up some white wild flowers that she tinctures or

something like that.  Guess they are usually expensive or hard to find.

I did get the pool vacuumed and washed/waxed bike.  Spent some time with Brandy,

guess this might be her last week.

Have a good day with the deer and the flowers.

Hi Ernie,

Great great picture.  Looks like the 70's maybe...I'll have to re-read.   You look very young!

Is Brandy eating and walking?  Vet told me in the last days, they will quit eating and not want to get up.  Exactly what happened to phoebemagnolia.

Gave Finn a bath yesterday.  Buckets of warm to begin and cold hose to rise.  Still won't leave the hotspot alone.  I ordered the cone of shame...it's coming Wednesday.  It's a pia to be sure for him.   What we go through, right?

Keep the Faith.  Hot hot summer days here.  Susan

Dear Kitty ~

I love cut flowers.  I gave Jim the outside of the fence to plant whatever he wanted to...zinnias and salvia and snaps...Very colorful.  I like to keep my perennial garden in shades of pinks and blues.  So much rain here, my delphinium is rotting.  Darn bunnies.......they are nibbling everything.  I've taken to putting red cayenne pepper on the plants.  Must replenish each time we get a rain.

Carry on... Dog days of summer....  Susan

Dear Ernie,

Makes my heart sad to read that this might be Brandy's last week.   Sad for you and your family.   Susan

Good morning Susan.  Brandy not getting up much and not eating very much.

Wife thought today should be it but I was gone to the farm all of yesterday.

Only been two years since I lost my Cocoa.  I was thinking Friday.

We have one of those cones in the basement but haven't ever used it, forget

what injury it was for now.

Picture was in 74, don't remember the year of the Monte Carlo.

Sounds like Finn is living happy.

Have a good day.

Good morning Kitty.  Hot stormy days here.  I was lucky in PA, just one

wave of heavy rain, then light rain here and there.  I had mowed about 10

acres of the field by then and switched over to mowing the lawn.  When we

get a couple dry days I will get back and mow the rest of the field.  It's mowed

everywhere my sister in law can see out her windows, she is stuck in one room.

Got the lawn mowed, garbage taken to landfill, and liter boxes changed.

I cleaned up around the house a little.  Was at the farm from 8:30 to 6:45.

The tractor is diesel so if you run out of fuel you have to bleed all the injectors

and pump.  It was past 1/4 and I didn't want to refuel hot.  Doesn't matter I used

up all my time and got more of the field done than I thought I would.

Glad you got your flowers, have a good day.

Dear Ernie,

So very very sorry for you and the family.   Worst thing EVER is to say good-bye.  I was always alone.......when the time came.  With Phoebe, the Vet came to the house and it was far better than taking her in.  My heart goes out to all of you.  She's had a very good life....lots and lots of walks and sniffs.  I truly believe in some way, we will see them again.

((hugs))

Susan

Awaiting the arrival of the cone.....let the licking and chewing STOP.

Dear Kitty,

Yes, I thought of you and your lovely Sanibel home....our walk to the beach....and saw the warnings.  Are you happier now that you are up North?    I think I would love the beach....but the heat of the summer would probably do me in.  It's been HOT and HUMID here ~ enough so that I feel like I can't even breathe right on those days.  Dr. gave me an inhaler...guess somewhere along the line I've acquired asthma....probably from smoking, I would guess.  My allergies have been at an all time high this year....

Will go to the pool today for exercise.  It's nice when you are in the water.  Bronwen has a t-ball game tonight, but storms are predicted.

Keep the Faith.  Are your flowers planted?   Susan
