Good morning Kitty.  Rained some during the night, looks like another beautiful day.

Went to the ham radio flea market.  Got a stereo and speakers for the basement, a

rotator for one of the small beam antennas I have, and a digital camera.

Worked more on closing the pool but still not finished.  Trying to keep the cove straight

and pressed down on the side where a frog comes from, don't want him getting under

the cover into the shocked water.  He has to find another place to live and hibernate.

Will probably finish closing the pool today, sad thing to do for me but will move on to

something else after that.

Enjoy the day Kitty.

Good Morning!

Got up early this morning!  LOL That is cause I thought I was going to be watching my oldest son's kids all day...was looking forward to grandma time!  But got message he and one of the kids were feeling sick...soooo...guess i have a few moments....Been trying to change my normal routine...of vegging out in front of my puter...havent even been on Facebook in a couple days...(that is a miracle for me. LOL)

Friday, I helped the hubby clean up part of the yard....did some major weeding! Once I started...I was like obsessed!  Did that for a few hours...realized it was about late afternoon...and I hadnt eaten...so...had to do that as I get shaky...  yesterday, hubby and I rode his Harley to a PowWow. it was actually very nicely done...with real teepees...and displays of how the woodland indians actually did things..like cooking, and using gourds for a variety of things...and pelts...

Will have to say...by the end of yesterday....this girl was hurting...my muscles were hurting...even in my hands...so took some advil...and called it a night!    Think i will go for a walk this morning....since my whole schedule for today just opened up!   Hope you have a fabulous day!

Good morning Diana.  We sometimes get our plans cancelled by our kids and grandkids.

I just closed our pool for the Fall but spread it across days since retired and getting used

to it.  Used the water I had to drain off to flush the basement drains out.  One corner

towards the back bank made certain the cover was flat and tight, then put potted plants,

concrete blocks, and laid the steps and a chair across it.  A frog has been living there and

trying to make sure he can't get under the cover into the pool where he would die, It's down

couple feet so he would never be able to get out and the water is shocked with chlorine for

couple days.  When I was working didn't really have the time to think and reflect while closing

but now it seems like sad time when another Summer is slipping away.

Got a Cannon camera at the hamfest Saturday so have been learning how to use it.  Last couple

decades my digital cameras have been simple ones or just using a phone camera.

Glad you got out and did some things.  Living is much better than dying with the addiction.

Hope your free day was nice and have a good day today.

Good morning Kitty.  We will be going to my wife's parents up north for their 65th wedding

anniversary so will be absent from this forum on Sunday morning and possibly Monday this

coming weekend.  Also, supposed to be getting my Monte Carlo SS back but haven't heard it's

finished yet though.

I look forward to the Fall colors but Brandy dying put a damper on this year.

Hope your ride was fun.  Saw the camera previous owners vacation in Yellowstone before I erased

the pictures.  We were there in 96, think it was.

Good Brian is busy with Fall chores, same with everyone in the north.  Our morning glories around

the pool will be dying and will throw the dying vines over the fence.

Have a nice day Kitty.

Good morning Kitty.  Turns out we have to pick the car up Friday so I will be gone on

Saturday morning.  I know some log on and post here from their phones but I don't

have an easy time of it.  I do manage to email pictures to my other email on my phone

so I can access them here on my pc.

Think yesterday was our last day in the 70s here, soon we will be happy to get into the 60s.

The sun is dropping into the southern sky and leaves are starting to turn.  Have pointed some

of my little solar panels more down into the south so they catch more sun.  Took apart one 10

light string I have yesterday, that had stopped working, thought I had it fixed but didn't work

tonight.  It was mostly full of water, corroded, and had 2 wires broken away from the circuit board.

They don't cost much, if it doesn't light up tonight I will get a new one.  I have to go over to that

town to get out money for the car body repairs anyway.  We did have a branch down here at the

mall but the mall is about empty of shoppers these years, even without the virus so my bank and

one of our credit unions shut down.

I remember, in 2005, coming home from staying at the hospital with my daughter having a stroke,

and throwing the dead morning glories over the fence.  I only remember it because it was mixed

in with a tragic time.  She was only 24 and guess as she ages there is more of a chance of having

another.  So I know ahead of time that the morning glories will be going and the vines have to be

removed from the pool area.

Glad you are having a great Fall Kitty.  You and Brian enjoy today.

One of the last chipmunks at our bird feeder.  He / she gets to Winter here now.  I've moved 7 of them to a new area but to late in the season to move them now, so I've put my trap away.

Our main bird feeder, has spring loaded posts on each side so it will close if squirrels get on there but the smart ones learn how to get seeds without putting their weight on it.

love the bird feeder...we had tried many ways over the years to keep the squirrels away nothing worked so we gave up...of course now as I said it is about not attracting bears...we don't need them....

Good morning Kitty.  Another chilly morning at 45, probably fall little more before daylight.

Guy across the road is selling his RV and the people are in and out during the night.  Think

it woke me up around 3.  Might go to the farm to work on the tractor today, not sure yet.

I have all the parts to finish the getting the hydraulic pump hooked back up to the engine.

This bird feeder is spring loaded where the birds sit to eat so if to much weight is put on their

roosts, they go down and close off the holes where they can get at the food.  But smart squirrels

get around it sometimes.  All of our squirrels disappeared at the end of Spring.  Not sure why,

maybe so many small critters that the coyotes moved in.  They usually move into this area when

the rabbit population goes up.  We had them everywhere when the millennium gas pipeline to

NYC was being installed.  They dug creators 100s of feet wide and very deep.  Coyotes stayed

around for a couple years after they finished and buried the pipes.  I had to walk the dogs before

work back then, in the dark, so heard them teaching their pups to hunt and kill all the time.  They

came very close and weren't much scared of the m800 fire crackers I threw out.  I still carry them

and a lighter with me when I walk dogs.  Main enemies, on the road, are always people though,

coyotes will mind their own business almost all the time.  A couple of them once circled us breifly

once and Cocoa and I could hear them growl out in the woods sometimes, over 4 or 5 years.

I told you about seeing a bear run across my dad's farm earlier this year, first time saw one there

in all these years.  Thought it was a coyote or a black dog until he crossed the road, then could

see his legs were extra long.

I put two bird feeders up at the farm but there are almost no birds there.  I saw one bird while working

all day.  Not sure why, either the smell of all the cats they have or the weed killer they spray on the

corn planted across the road.  It's used for ethanol in gasoline so the weed killer could be toxic.  No

birds are coming to the feeders at all.  Put them up about 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Beautiful Fall days, glad all of us are all enjoying them.

One of our nephews was on a road working piece of equipment and hit by a truck yesterday.  He's in

an induced comma.  They saw he's lost one eye, ear, and brain damage, along with a broken collar bone.

I didn't know him well but sad.  Dylan is his name.
