Good morning Kitty. Not so cold this morn at 27 so far. I was shocked to see John and Barb, from this forum,
go. Then my dad the same year, 2010. I put up some outdoor lights here and there but didn't spend to much
time outdoors. Brian and I were lucky to have so many warmer days to get things done. My Subaru Baja is
just about ready to face the Winter, just have to get an wheel alignment sometime soon. Brian's rock wall
must be lots further along.
I spent lots of time yesterday, getting medical assistance forms around for 2022.
Yesterday I could see a rabbit sitting in the driveway perfectly still for a long time before wandering off. Nothing
in the cameras this morning. Not nearly as many Christmas lights up in our neighborhood this year. None visable
from our home. My wife got more Christmas shopping done, think she's almost done. We're supposed to bake and
decorate Christmas cookies Wednesday.
Hope you and Brian have a good day.
Ernie
Yesterday would've been Cocoa's birthday. 2006-2019

Good morning Susan. We got a lot done outdoors in the warmer December temps. Got the new sub
frame installed in my Baja, then the new frame rails welded in, then the struts, lower control arms with
new alignment cam bolts, installed. Ready for Winter. Wasn't expecting that right at the beginning of Winter.
Glad you got your decorations up, we've just finished the last of them but they will be up until after New Years.
A Winter vacation in Florida sounds great. I remember being down there in 1966, wearing a t-shirt on Christmas
day.
Sorry for your friend and her family.
Have a good day. Hope Finn is doing well.

Baja has a new lease on it's life.

Good morning Kitty. Snowing here and some on the ground, think getting more tonight but
melting before Christmas day in the rain. People will have to see this as their white Christmas.
My wife bought a few more things yesterday.
I'm working on an old antenna and took a newer one down out of that 70 foot pine tree. They
are small antennas because they are vhf, around 147 Megahertz. I think I'm done reworking
joints and connections on the older antenna. I'm thinking of stacking them on top of the huge
beam, that's mounted on 2 inch pipe.
Glad I'm done working on the Baja, the antennas are a hobby and I stop to warm up and have a
coffee. I was lucky to get all those warm days. Hope Brian is happy with what he got done on the
stone wall.
Today our daughter and family comes over to bake Christmas cookies and decorate them. We've done
that far back as I can remember.
Have a nice day.

48 inches of snow we got last December.

Good morning Kitty. Christmas eve. Hope all are doing well this morn. Snowing here.
Worked on an antenna all morning yesterday, finished it and put it outdoors in a temperary
place, seems to work well for not being up high.
Went to the store to get a missing ingredient for the Christmas cookie get together. Then
went for pizza for everybody. We had a good time with the cookies.
Today I need to build a porch step for my daughter's house. Old one is falling apart.
You and your family enjoy the day.

Good morning Kitty. Merry Christmas. Still a white Christmas here but not for long,
the all day rain they predicted has started.
I did get the step built for my daughter's family but the paint is to new. Probably be
ready for me to take over Tuesday. It's built out of 4 x 4's and 2 x 8's so it should way
outlast the old one.
I looked up how to reset my Cannon camera, had just a black screen. But the reset I
found worked and it's back working.
My largest and newest ham radio had stopped receiving signals. I have it sortta working.
I will get it working normally soon but it worked well enough to talk to my brother. No doubt
I hit a button with a knuckle while using it. Just takes a while to figure it out. My brother got a
new radio to use in the hf bands, cats had ruined his old one.
Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and all the other passers by on the forum.

Ham radio station I have an operator problem with.

Good morning Kitty. Hope you all had a good Christmas, did here. I ate to much but will
try to get back to eating what I burn. I got the porch step finished and wrapped it for a gift
to my daughter, large and heavy gift. Enjoyed seeing the grands and their dogs also.
My antennas are working much better but still room for improvement. I'm receiving the
repeater 100 miles away in my hometown, where my brother is, at full scale on my strength
meter but I'm still cutting out to them. I changed microphones in case that's the problem.
Haven't tried that out yet. I am able to talk to my brother on different frequencies since he
got the new radio and I put up that antenna for him back about a month ago.
Our snow all melted in the rain but no more snow his Winter would suit me fine.
Enjoy your day.
Ernie
