Good morning Kitty.  Doing good here.  Didn't do much yesterday, spent lot of time on ham

radio talking to people around the world.  Woke at 2:30 Wednesday morning, so only 4 hours

sleep or so.  Didn't want to attempt any projects.  I'm trying to sleep without melatonin which

I've been using to sleep for years, probably over a decade.  The cold wave had left us before

yesterday morning but have another Friday night. 

Glad you're up here with your family but to bad it's so cold.  We might still try to build up the

horse farm for our families future but only 100 miles away.  The one daughter hopes to sell out

here and build a house on the farm.  Don't know if it will ever happen and if I will still be around

if it does.  Hope you enjoyed your casserole. 

One of our daughters is going to a dentist in NYC today so we have the grandboys and the

granddaughter hopes to make it here also.  The two dogs also.  What a beautiful day, we are

so blessed. 

I did order a large amplifier to aid in talking to my brother on vhf frequencies yesterday.  It was

designed for ham radio but ordered by a company and set for a custom frequency off our ham

band, so I will have to eliminate any filter they put in to keep signals out close or adjust it for my

frequency.  Another challenge for me.  But I paid one half to one third what normally would. 

Probably not a good day to make a decision without any sleep.

No cold wave here today, high of 38 with some sun.

Good morning Ernie.....32 here this morning and partly cloudy  grocery shopping today....nerve wracking these days with the omicron but we still need to eat...altho our daughter made us stuffed cabbage for dinner....3 suppers in a row...so good to us....she loves to cook and makes many meatloaf etc for the freezer.....hope your day is good and love the picture of your granddaughter....,

Good morning Kitty.  Deep freeze has arrived here at -4 degrees and will probably go lower by

daybreak.  Tomorrow morning is supposed to be about the same.  Sunday night into Monday

supposed to get 7 to 12 inches of snow.  I see the closer you are to the coast the less snow so

won't be that much at your place.  Monday is our grocery day so I will most likely get groceries

this coming week because wife won't want to travel in the snow.

Going to an indoor hamfest this morning.  People and companies sell ham radio equipment

and they have test sessions at the larger ones so hams can move up to a higher class of license

or get their initial license.  I need to get some parts for different projects I'm working on. 

Had gotten an electronics kit for one grandson to put together while they were here.  This time it was a large bug that makes noise

and flashes like a lighting bug.  Think I have pictures of the last time he built a kit.  Now I'm out of kits, will have to order another.

I received the amplifier and I'm working on it to make it work at the frequency I'm using.  Fed ex guy thought it was to heavy.

I was able to talk to my brother last two nights.  Our sister is visiting there before she heads to Florida, your old stomping

grounds.  She goes to Naples, Fla, even further south than you lived, I think.  One of her sons lives there.
