Good morning, everyone. It was a nice day in NY also.

Ernie, do you feel the stinger in your finger? If so, you should try to remove it.

Hi Sensational Senior Friends ~

Seem to have difficult posting of late.  I can put in the name but the message does not allow me to type.  Hm... perhaps the heat or a gremlin lurking on the Forum.

All is well here in Ohio.  Taking a short three year anniversary jaunt on Wednesday and overnight.  I will have a pet sitter for Finn.   Then, in a week, we travel to a place called Hocking Hills in southern Ohio for a three day stint with Jim's family.  Not sure I'm looking forward to being in a large house with perhaps 14 people but will put a smile on my face and one foot forward.  Since my fracture and new knee, I doubt I will do much hiking in caves, etc.

If someone would post to me, I would be appreciative.  I'll see if I can post from that.  Hi to all ~ Kitty, Paul, Ernie.  Very hot day here by the Lake.  Susan

Good morning Paul, Susan, and all.  Not sure what you're talking about by the name Susan.  I click

on everything until I start typing a message, no name involved.  I'm using a pc though, not a phone,

if that's what you're doing.  I click on reply and it goes to login screen, click on login, click on all at the

top of the threads, click on sensational seniors, then I click on reply again on the post I want to reply to.

Then the box comes up and  start typing.

Don't think I've ever been inside of a cave, If I have it's slipped away from my memories.  Sorry your knee

isn't working at 100%.  When I complained to the foot doctor about not being able to jog anymore, he got

a little upset and told me many of his patients would be overjoyed to be able to walk a mile, let alone 5

miles every morning.  So I shut up and I actually thought about all those people and I sort of feel gifted now.

Cocoa dog got Cushings Disease and Diabetes the same year so we stopped jogging almost at the same time.

I'm sure you will be welcomed with open arms Susan, you're an exceptional person and they know they're

lucky to have you.  We have so little time left on this earth, glad you're using it.

Paul, if the finger was a sting, it's gone away.  The one in my arm still burning and itching.  I remember Cocoa's

mom got stung with ground bees multiple times once.  I should have coated her face with mud from the pond

but I didn't think of it.  I can only hope they don't affect dogs as much but their bodies are so similar to ours,

most likely it does.  I don't see any stinger but haven't looked under the microscope.  I've scratched it so much,

no stinger could've stayed in though.  It's still burning and itching this morn,  I put neosporin and some of my

daughter's natural oil on but only helps some.  Going to Agway and getting spray for them, fooled around last

year trying to block them off of the pool area, this year just want them dead.  They stung Brandy 6 days before

she had to die.  Today is one year since we lost Brandy.

I did finish the lawn trim with the push mower yesterday in two sessions, battery went dead.  Then mowed with

rider tractor.  I only do the banks and ditches with the push mower every other time I mow.  Think the grass has

slowed down growing now, for this season.  I'm lucky I have the pool to cool off in between lawn work.

I slept late because it was supposed to rain hard this morn but it didn't.  It's 69 anyway and the dogs don't like

walking when it's that warm.  I will take them across country for a short walk after the rain has passed around 7 am.

There's a path up the hill behind our house.

Have to go down to the farm later this week.  Brother says the abandoned home on lower part of the farm is burning

$100 more electric a month than the home they're living in.  We have to get the place ready to shut the power off and

get the main breakers shut off.  Must be the water pump in the well running constantly, all I can think of.  It's a little

dangerous having an appliance burning that much power, circuit is probably warm or even hot.  Someone could get

hurt, especially firemen.  He didn't tell me until I had fixed a couple things last week when I was there and had run low

on time.

Our cold front is supposed to come through today and cause storms this afternoon.

Hope you all have a great day.  Replied to you post for this message Susan.

Ernie

Thank you, Paul for posting. All seems to be working properly now.

I believe it is a six bedroom A Frame. I can always amuse myself with the hot tub and a glass of Cab.

A picture perfect day by the Lake.  We saw many sailboats out yesterday.

Dear Ernie,

Your message was received. Thank you.  I believe my ancient laptop is going to be on hospice soon…it’s just droning along and being quirky.  I hesitate to mention it to my youngest daughter and her husband. He’s a software developer with the Clinic.  They will order me up the newest and best!   Then, you must RELEARN an entire new system!  Lol

We will celebrate our third anniversary tomorrow with an overnight to a nearby ok’d hotel on the Lake.

Good morning Susan, Paul, and all.  Cute picture of Finn.  Guess I never did a search for a name on here.

I just use the drop down and click on Seniors thread.  This pc is slow o get on the internet but once on it's

ok.  Laptop at my ham radio station is faster and it's not hard wired like this one, it's on wifi.  I eliminated

lots of applications I don't use trying to find what's running when I don't want it but I've only improved it

some.  I have a 2 terabyte hard drive and I'm not even close to one terabyte yet.  This pc is about 12 years

old though.

Worked on my bike windshield again with the 5 step process again but didn't turn out that clear.  Think I

have to use the buffer and rubbing compound and start over.  The little scratches are a pain in the sunshine,

which is most of the time I'm rolling.

We went to Agway and got the powder stuff for ground bees.  I tapped on the ground there, with the pool

net handle, to find their entrance and put the powder on the ground about dark.  They stung Brandy 6 days

before she died so I feel less for them than I do for most animals.  Also Princess back when I walked her at

lunch times.  My arm still burning and itching this morning on the 3rd day.  Pretty sure we will find more here

and at our daughter's this Summer.

Supposed to go blueberry picking with our grandsons today.  will text our granddaughter but she's been super

busy.  Usually take take some down, with grandchildren, to the older lady that lives alone down the road.  Her

husband helped us some, after the tornado, back in the early 80s.

Finn is so cute Susan.

Have a great day all.

Ernie

Cocoa's parents, Princess and Buddy, many years ago.  With granddaughter.

All the dog pictures are cute.

Insects are pests, but they are also pollinators so good to have in that sense.

Enjoy the day all.

We are headed to historic Lakeside Hotel and the Marblehead area.  A beautiful day to travel in Jim’s 2015 Mustang convertible……top down, I guess.

Lots of land for the bees ~ just not In YOUR domain!!!
