Hi Paul,

Enjoy the wedding today.  I hope it is a sunny day for the bride and groom.

Not much happening here in Avon Lake this week-end but I will take a quiet one…..  Easter decor has replaced St. Patrick’s Day so we move on into April.

Hi Miss Kitty,

I hope this is YOU.  I haven’t seen you post for a while and wanted to see how you are doing.

How are things in your neck of the woods?  I wonder if you are seeing any signs of spring?

We are still wet and soggy in Avon Lake ~ so many cloudy days.  I think everyone will be so ready for sunshine and Spring!

Let us know how you are doing.  ((hugs)). Susan

Hi Miss Kitty,

Nice to hear from you and that you are doing well.

Sleet?  Oh my!  It’s quite warm here and the sun is peeking through the clouds.

Grocery store today (amidst all of the working peeps) but we are out of coffee and yogurt.

Yes, I too am aware of ciggie butts around the neighborhood.  We have one girl (a smoker) who must smoke and walk her dog at the same time.  Ugh.

Wish we had quit way earlier than we did…but it’s never too late for those who are willing to commit to a far better way of life!

Good morning Kitty, Susan, Paul, and everyone.  You are correct Susan, I'm having trouble with sleeping in

one block.  I do sleep some later on to try to make up for it.  If I'm having any trouble sleeping and make the

slightest noise, the dogs come pouring down the hallway, barking, growling, and their wagging tails hitting

the walls.  So that doesn't help getting back to sleep.  I don't blame them for celebrating everything in life, their

lives are so short, never even to reach 15 years.

I'm a little concerned about climate change for our grands and their kids.  Disasters in the northeast won't be in

my lifetime or our kids lifetimes, I don't think but will get here.  California is almost like a war zone, hope it settles

down for a while so the people can enjoy life.

Nice to see your granddaughter during the break Susan.  I have many good memories of days spent with my

granddaughter while she was growing up.  My granddaughter skipped this semester while she gets time in at a

company that has tuition reimbursement, guess she doesn't like me paying her tuition.  I was keeping track and

tried to pay tuition and books.  She's also wrapped up in her sick dog, work, and her marriage.

Weddings are nice Paul.  I get many more funerals than weddings at my age.  Prefer weddings.  We got rain most

of the day and was cloudy and windy when it wasn't raining.  My mind is to active trying to figure out these relays

and other circuits and why I can't get everything working the way it's supposed to.  Guess eventually I will.  It doesn't

sound like we have the 35 mph winds they forecast for this morn so dogs and I will probably get our walk.

Hi Kitty, very happy to not be smoking.  So far into the past it's hard to imagine being in that world.  Coming up on 16

years since 2007.  Same age as my Subaru Baja.  Still remember doing battle every minute of every day when we first

got started down this path.  Glad it doesn't stay that difficult as time goes on.  Everything lined up that last time quit.  My

granddaughter reminding me, images of my mom suffering the effects of smoking and dying at 61 years old, this forum,

and my own symptoms of damage to my body.  Tried to quit many times previous to this one.

A nice weather day here today, mostly sunny and in the 50s.  Hope you all have a great day.

Hello Susan, Ernie. The wedding was good. An older couple that has been together for 18 years. Food was good, the weather not so much. But it cleared up a bit by the time to leave.

Have a good evening.

Good morning, (afternoon) to All on this dreary, drizzly Monday morning……..

So far Finn and I have taken a soggy walk, swept the entire downstairs with three sweepers.  What I would give to have my old Hoover upright sweeper……the new ones just do not pick up like that one did.  I think the years we had it were 1969 to 1990.  A long time.   Of course, Finn’s copious amount of long golden dog hair does not help the cause!  So therefore, we have a Hoover Linx for quick pick ups, a Dyson for heavy duty sweeping and a hand sweeper for the steps!  It’s exhausting.  I had a girl come in for a short time ~ $50.00 an hour.  Two hours for her to do the downstairs.  She does a C- job.   I could justify $100.00 for the entire upstairs/downstairs.  So, every once in a while I get in the mood to do more than dusting and sweeping and today is the day.

Not a busy week-end.  Rounding the bend on March soon.

Good morning Susan, Paul, and all.  33 here and a little rain or snow coming down.

Woke in the middle of my night again.  Took some melatonin, will try to go back to

sleep in a few minutes.  Tempted to look at the schematics of the unit I'm working

on but not a good thing to make me sleepy.  Got the dogs out for a walk yesterday

but not sure about this morn.

Glad you got Finn out for a walk Susan.  Probably the highlight of his day.  We used a

Kirby for the house for many years but it's been retired to a basement vacuum.  Think

it's Oreck vacuums we use in the house now.  We only have one floor of living space but

I do spend lots of time in the basement but don't vacuum down there much.  Pretty good,

$50 an hour.  Guess you have to travel to each job though, along with transportation

problems, place to eat, other stuff.

Glad the wedding was nice Paul.  Like them much more than funerals.  We get to many

of the latter.  It's now been 50 years since I stopped at my mom's work and told her I

was moving near a city in a neighboring state to live nearer to my future wife.  I did marry

her the next year, was a great life decision.  Really miss my mom though.

Think our weather is fairly nice today after this morning rain / snow front.  Have a great day

all.

Hi Paul,

Thought of  you today as (very early) I dropped the CRV off at a local Super Lube establishment.  I guess it’s time for the Honda to start needing repairs….new rotors and pads.  See how much $$$ you save by not having a vehicle.  It would be tough out here in the suburbs not to own a car.  I am hoping to get a few more years out of it…especially with Finn.

On we go…..at least the sun is shining.  Susan

Hi Ernie,

I love the picture.  Do you ever look at these and wonder where the years have gone?   I do!  And, how did we look so young!

I told Paul that I dropped the Honda off early (8:30 a.m. for me) at our local Super Lube.  This would be the second opinion and they judge that I need rotors and pads on the front.   I will have that necessary work done.

My, you were up early.  Hope you were able to get some rest.  A sunny day here but cold.  The ground is super soggy.  More rain coming every other day this week.   Susan
