Hi Belinda.  I guess we quit the same day.  How are you doing?  I’m still dealing with depression,

and anxiety and some mind fog, loss of interest.

Have you gotten some relief since we hit 3 months?

Hi Mark,

I just hit 3 months, 8 days quit.  Still feeling not like myself with anxiety, mind fog, etc.  I see you are at 2 months.  How are you feeling?

I’m looking forward to the future.

Hi Elaine

Hanging in there. slowly getting better overall, but its 2 steps forward 1 or 2 back any given day. Still have the anxiety hit now and again and my mind is not as clear as used to be, but coming around little by little. Some days I just go thru the motions, as you would say like its not really me. Granted I am still on the patch for about another week. i'm on step 3. each step was a challenge and almost felt like week 1 again. Like all things this to shall pass, the clouds will part and the sun will shine. Keep the faith. I pray your relief is on its way.

Hi Lainie - I’m almost at 8 weeks, and yes, some days are a struggle. I’ve quit several times over my life and I must say it’s lovely to have this forum as a bit of support.
Like you, I still don’t really feel ‘myself’ most of the time. I’m ok at work (have never smoked at work) but when I’m by myself I do struggle a bit.
I try and ignore it, or binge watch something on Netflix, read a book, colour in, sleep, anything to distract myself from that foggy empty feeling in my head. Another thing I’ve started doing recently is reminding myself that this is when I used to smoke, to alleviate that feeling.

I’m also a classic over thinker, can literally make a mountain from a molehill in my mind, and smoking used to help me with that - so I need to be mindful that I’m not revving things up in my head if you know what I mean.
Anyway, I hope you’re having a better day today xx

Hi prawl8,

8 days is a great start.  Jump back in.  Those 8 days were not lost.
