Yeah...I’m a little nervous now. Has “hit home” if you know what I mean. It’s one thing to see peeps you don’t know all day briefly, but have 5 I work closely with for the whole day....2 more out waiting on results this morning. I don’t go back till Saturday. Now I’m wondering how the heck they are gonna staff us! sob

Did you see that pretty blue bug Eve? Isn’t he really pretty??

Ok Girlz...

I just posted this for the fellas in another thread and got to thinking...the Tribe needs to see this Bad A— Momma Cougar. Some guy went out for a run, saw some cubs and started to film and out came Momma! Whoa. Didn’t tell the boys this, (hopefully they don’t read it here joy) but I would have peed my pants straight away. Then I would have had a heart attack. For sure. Wow. I’ll stick to Coyotes!! joy Though we have these in Oregon too.... not in PDX. Nope. No cougars here! Lol! Anyway...next crave Tiny, watch this video. Moral of the story? NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON A BIG BAD KITTY.

Holy carp! That is some scary stuff! I'm glad that wasn't me because I totally would have peed, too! Those cars don't fool around and I do think he's lucky to be alive because if the kitty wanted him, he could have done serious damage or killed him. Especially because he was alone. Lesson learned, stay away from wildlife babies!

Right?? And don’t run alone in their territory. He did very well not to turn his back or run I will say. He would have been a goner.
One time last summer, not the one just past but 2019 I was coming back from the beach and it was close to midnight. Had just passed a biker on HWY 26  maybe 20 seconds prior and had been doing about 60mph but slowed down when I saw the bike. After I passed him, at the edge of the road about 200 to 300 yards ahead on the side I caught this flash of eye reflection, and then out into the middle it of the road it walked and stopped and there stood one of these guys. My heart leaped to just see him, and quick as a flash, he took a couple of steps then made this huge leap up onto the bank into some brush on the other side of the road. It was absolutely incredible. Just not something you see really. And when you do, there is a reason as they have seen you  first. Like I said...I’ll stick with seeing the Coyotes. What struck me so was when it was in the middle of the road, the size of it’s tail. Amazing. By the way...if I had been this guy, I probably would have done more in my pants than pee! joy

Sweet Lore.....

Yes, that will do it.  A nice deep breath of that cold air.  I am going to take Vitamin D and what is in your cocktail.....you know we ALL want to know. That is weird about the change of work flow and bam.....started popping up.  But YOU GO GIRL!” One foot in front of the other, remaining focused and mindful of the work.  Deliberate moving around with your garb.  This helped me in going back to work plus keeping shield on and mask and gloves.....Am praying your co-workers have light and short lived symptoms. Whatever happens we are by your side in spirit always!,

Our temps dropped crazy low in 40’s and going to the 30’s I hear which is too bizarre.  So right there with you!!!  Will admit a CRAVE came to me with the onset of the cold.  Remnants of sick mind thinking a cig would warm me up.  Insanity.  Well did not act on that bit of deformed logic.  Yay!!!

So just yesterday was IN the pool preparing it for winter.  Very cold but sparkling 80 degree days the last few.  Glad that is done.  Tribe will help with the rest.  So sad my beloved pool is going into hibernation for a season.  Where is that swim spa room I have been dreaming about???? 4 season......

Hey about the blue bug...not just blue but deep sea blue.  Beautiful!!  I have been chomping at the bit to tell you about my Praying Mantis!!  After your posts on them, one appeared on the pools edge.  Then he jumped in and I was afraid he would drown so scooped him back to the edge.  He was sand and rock colored.  I wondered if they adapt like chameleons to their environment???  Made me very happy to see him!,

We are going to HAVE to find beauty in this cold......that is all there is to it.  I will.  I hear your need to winter over in a warmer place loud and clear but we will find beauty...we will, we will......

I have a sore throat from sucking dust on the tractor......right after neighbor and I were talking about wearing a mask to mow.....grrrrr.  It’s ok.  Started working out at their little gym on their property.  I really like it!!  Have my own Christian Metal folder on the TV on Pandora...like a little trip to another dimension.  Can not compare with a swim but I found it emotionally healing.  My ex that died first trained me in weight lifting so kind of a tribute of sorts.

The best evening to all you precious ones!!

Holy Carp...Love that one, Tiny!!

Dang that mama was NOT giving up.  Kinda like the Nicodemon!!,!

Can’t believe how long she pursued!!!  Such determination.   That is just the best advertisement for NOT going up there alone or unarmed!!!

Eek.  Saw one on my property years ago.  It was not healthy and I was in the car one morning pulling out to go to work.  It just looked at me.  Documented it but it was not seen again.  We get more bobcat.  I think that was a one time thing.

Tiny,

oh thank you!!!  It is good to be back!!  How are you doing?  Any crazy craves?

Really appreciate the feedback on Kiowa.  It got so cold here all of a sudden so I don’t feel like going to the ranch cos it’s a couple hours west.    Part of me doesn’t want to go to bring it all up again but that would probably be healthy.  So will see.

oh guess I didn’t tell y’all my test was NEGATIVE.  Sorry about that!,  Lol.  Hope everybody else from funeral is ok.  How is your town???

Haha! My “secret cocktail”? Well, I don’t want to get in any trouble here so disclaimer up front: This statement has not been evaluated by the FDA! It is a Loreficent mix of two things and I make no claims to efficacy, potency, safety, blah, blah, blah.... you get my drift. But I will say...I swear by this at the onset of a cold. Right at the very beginning mind you! And...do not do it more than 4-5 days. I also dose about once or twice a week since the pandemic. I prefer “Nature’s Way” brand as they have been vetted by Consumer Lab. Ready??
Astragalus 1,400mg and Echinacea 1,000mg each serving. 3 capsules of each one, 3 times a day at first sign of illness. I also add same brand Vitamin C with Rose Hips 1,000mg per serving daily most days. so there you have it. Pretty much Voodoo, as most medicine is. First, Do No Harm.
There is evidence for better outcomes with Covid if one’s Vitamin D level is adequate. Now...I think I’m pretty out there with the amount of milk I drink as an adult, right? Mmmmhmmm. Have also been outside a lot this summer and have fairly tan lower legs and hands, and yes, even though bad, face too. Got my D level checked a week ago and it’s low normal and my doc told me to take 4,000 units a day for now. So...maybe get it checked first?
Oh, so sad about the pool. I definitely relate Peggy to the loss of your space and place. Sounds like some good replacements you’re adding though!

Ok. I’m setting my mind to finding beauty in the cold as it appears I’m stuck with it for this year anyway. expressionless Still...I mostly want to hibernate. It will really hit with the time change on November 1st. Truthfully? That whole week is looking like it is going to be a stress filled challenge! joy Well, it will pass.   “All bleeding stops eventually!” as we say...  Also, it was validating to read about your crave with the cold. Yes, absurd for us to have it, but validating nonetheless and you’re not alone. Thank you.
So far all coworkers resting at home. They are all my age or younger, non smokers. So, I think they will be ok.
I notice I’ve been writing all over the place here and it helps me a lot. So...there you go!
Gotta get my act together for tomorrow. For some reason I have an extra high anxiety level for the coming weekend. I think it makes sense? I’m gonna treat it like a rock as I say...toss it up and see where it lands! I am kind of planning on just work, sleep, Walk, work, sleep, walk. Don’t worry...I’ll stay away from walking by my work and wait till I get home. It was a very unusual thing for me to do that day, but was totally necessary in that moment, and extremely cathartic. And...I didn’t kill anyone, and body killed me, so Win/Win! Yay!

By the way, I love this quote Luke put in the other thread “No pressure, No Diamonds “. Love. That.

Ok friend...so good to see you. kissing_heart

P.S. Glad you liked the blue bug! He was stunning! I knew you would.
