Hi Blue, sorry you had to smoke, hope you’re over it by now. As Katie suggested, you could post here and wait next time it happens. Try to find something what makes you feel good, simple and quick, maybe some herbal tea (mint, melissa), watch something online, search info about what you have issue with. Get better hibiscus

I'm fine just a little blip on my journey, moving forward and not giving up.

Hi Blue,

That must be tough to quit both at once. I guess it comes from seeing both quits as caring for yourself rather than deprivation. But probably doesn’t always feel that way. You know you have the strength to get there as you’ve done it before. So keeping saying NOPE.

That’s cool you like crafting too. Are you making anything just now? I’m knitting a jumper for myself but got a bit bored with that so I’m knitting a little Miffy rabbit with a dress for my daughter.

Take care Blue,

Katie

I'm crocheting using a really cuddly and thick blanket yarn, super plush. Making a blanket for my daughter for when she goes to college.

The last thing I want to do is smoke but am a bit down today, withdrawals maybe?

Sure, looks like withdrawal symptom. I always felt

down when tried to quit after a day or so. It made me go buy a new pack, on my way I realized that’s the minds trick to get what it wants, rarely stopped me though. But it will pass, stay there.

Hi Mercy,

Yup, liking food and dieting is a rubbish combination!  I'm not so keen on sweet things, and also not good about following recipes (I just chuck stuff in and hope for the best, whereas baking is more scientific, I think?)  so I am very impressed!  What do you like to make?

I haven't read through the complete thread - just saw your message and wanted to reply - but I hope you're still here and still going strong.  I've felt miserable as hell the last couple of days too - gagging for a cigarette and then somehow managing to rationalise my way out of it - but feeling very tired and sad with all the effort.  I think the icky month is a real thing!  Hope you're ok. xx

Hi Suzy,

I am glad you wrote me as I feel a bit lost on here lately. I haven't had much time or energy to post. I finish up a hellish week of work tonight and, I hope, get some sleep. Not only that, but I haven't seen too much of that lately.

I like to bake most anything but have found myself in a niche of Italian desserts. I bought a book online and thought I might get some tastes of New York as the West Coast (most areas) lack in ethnic food. Maybe they do have ethic food, but mostly Mexican and Asian. So, I got this book and have found that I really enjoy the recipes and the results. LOL

I am sorry you have been miserable the last few days. I certainly understand the position you have been in. It is a scary one, but you didn't smoke. Keep going. I sometimes know that doesn't feel like much when you are going crazy, but it seems to mean more to me later.

Please write when you can.

Mercy

Hi Blue,

Your plush blanket sounds so lovely and cosy. It’ll be like a takeaway hug for your daughter when she goes to college:)

Sorry you’ve been feeling down, could well be the withdrawals as you say. I’m feeling low too today, I’ve slept the afternoon away. I guess these ups and downs can happen whether you smoke or not.

Hope today is brighter for you.

Katie

Thank you Oxan at least I know what it is now makes me not want to smoke more if this is going to happen when I don't, screw that. How's you're day going?
