For sure you're in the right place. I like reading the folders from 2019 and 2020 quit squads who are still smoke free and still come back and post here. I want what they have. We can do it!

Hi Mossy,
Welcome! Always happy to see a new face here. Stay close if you need to and let us know what you need. There’s so many people here with so much wisdom. It’s made all the difference for me.

Thanks Jenny,
feels as if I’m entering the twilight zone. Hoping a different better world is going to open up before me, (no I’m not on drugs) but definitely need people around me, I’m sure this is the best place for me. Very early days!
Maurice.

Hi Jenny,
I was able to get an on demand video visit with a Nurse Practitioner today . I forgot the local hospital has this service for uncomplicated needs because I never used it. I am glad they have this. It would of been horrible to go to a walk in place because I am worse today and getting out there in the cold and sitting there waiting for a long time would have been awful. My son dropped off the antibiotics to me a while ago.
Brain surgery - yikes. Nerve pain is awful and sounds like you have had to endure a lot of that .
Sorry you got your daughters cold. Yes, delivery sounds very reasonable , no need to try to drive with that splint on. I have to force myself to eat right now , no appetite with being sick so I get what you are saying.
For my reward I ordered a 20oz mug for tea with Snoopy lying on his back on the doghouse and Woodstock is sitting on Snoopys tummy. I had to throw out 4 of my big tea mugs recently , they were so worn from green tea abuse.
Have a good night. Soon I will be crawling in bed for rest and hopefully more sleep.

Hi Mossytc,
Welcome !!! Nice to have a February 2023 quit buddy. Take a look at the Introductions/Newcomers Nook tab and the info at the beginning of this one if you have not already.
I am off to rest due to illness but looking forward to talking to you in the future.

Give yourself grace s, you are fighting the good fight right now ,it’s OK. If I knew how to find anything, I would try to help but I just got here lol and I’ve never been good at that stuff.

Hi Mossy,
How are you doing ? The early days can be rough so I thought I would check on you.

Hi there everyone. I am still sick . So glad I quit smoking or I would be coughing a lot too and having a crap load of phlegm. I am not tolerating the antibiotic well in the GI department. After today I have 2 more days left of the poisonous Z pack antibiotic . My son brought me takeout chicken noodle soup with a baguette tonight for dinner. It feels like I have beaten with multiple bats and all my joints hurt too.
I have a mini calendar on my bedroom wall and each day before I go to bed since I quit on Feb 2nd I put a smiley face sticker on the day I just got thru without smoking . Lots of smiley stickers on there now. A great sight to see !!
