So happy I stumbled on this..I was free for 2 years and 3 months and relapsed over a year ago. Freedom was amazing and I want it back. I decided to revisit the forum today. It helped so much the first time. I am hopeful this will be the last. So much misery smoking has brought into my life.

Hi Robin!  I so remember you!  Very sorry you had a relapse.  Hoping you can find the strength to quit again.  Just remember what motivated you the last time because you did awesome!  I don't check on here as much as I'd like to, but I will try and watch for your posts.

Welcome back Robin. I had quit 2+ years and relapsed during COVID. The import thing is to start a new quit.

Thank you. Over 24 hours and going strong lol. We'll see how it goes! The first time I quit- I had no migraines for 2 years, no anxiety attacks when I woke up in the morning. It really felt free. When I bought that first pack of cigarettes,  I looked at the man behind the counter and I  felt like such a failure! It was like I saw him shake his head and say what a shame.  I called my sister and cried for an hour. Anyway. The only good piece of this which MAY make it easier this time is  I smoke my first cigarette after work and only in my backyard. Never went back to smoking and driving which had been huge for me. But I need to be done with this for good. Forever.

I think it was easier for me the 2nd time because I understood the addiction better. Forever is a good word.
