Dear Sensational Senior friends ~
I received a call this afternoon from a dear friend, my mentor for years in this group. Kitty Arnold (I called her Miss Kitty) actually rescued me from my original Nope-vember group when it ceased to exist and welcomed me with open arms into the Sensational Senior Group. She was instrumental in keeping this group alive and I am sure many will remember her contributions.
Kitty has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is awaiting more tests. She asked that I send a message here and tell the members that even though her fifteen year milestone mark will be in July, she now has cancer. She wanted me to tell you that it is never too late for anyone to quit.
We are hopeful that this was caught in time and with the necessary medical intervention she will be well again. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and I personally want to thank her for what she did to help me and so many many others in their journey.
Susan

Susan,
Thank you for letting us know about Kitty. My thoughts of love go out to her. You and Kitty were an inspiration when I quit smoking 13 years ago.

Kitty's journey with lung cancer....Loved my Dr......first will be a Pett scan (spelling) then a biopsy....there are two kinds of lung cancer....one that would not spread outside the lung and one that would...that is to be determined by the biopsy so we find out if it has spread or not..../.if you want to know anything read here if not please don't. I would want to know this info which is why I am posting...if mods don't want it let me know....
