My iPad is feeling British again today… Can you see the bridge in my profile pic? It is Ponte de 25 Abril. It looks quite similar to the Golden Gate. It was the same design firm as the Bay Bridge in SF. One of the reasons Lisbon is called the SF of Europe. That and the hills, street cars, big earthquake that destroyed the city back when…the little pockets of Bohemia. Really though, I’ve been to SF quite a bit and the hills in Lisbon are much more intense
. Anyway, it’s a beautiful bridge.

I don't see the bridge well. My eyes aren't what they were. But I googled and it definitely looks like the Golden Gate.
When I hear ponte, I think of the French phrase faire le pont. Make the bridge, which we used when there was a Tues, Wed, or Thurs holiday. The bridge was to the weekend.
