Dear Ernie and Kitty, Hi to Carolyn too.

Greetings from Avon Lake, land of wind and rain.  It's been very temperate the month of December and I'm wondering if that is why so many are in ill health.   COVID is everywhere and the hospitals are filled to the brim, cancelling all elective surgeries.  We had planned to do an Open House on Christmas Eve and I was quite skeptical about the amount of people here in my condo.  We have now cancelled it and I couldn't be happier.  Jim's six year old granddaughter has been diagnosed positive.  Jim and I just got our boosters this a.m. so now we wait the fourteen days to become protected.

I'm hoping that all on here will do the right thing and get boosted!

The house is decorated, the tree is up, bubble lights and greenery on the mantle, garland with plaid bows on the stairway and wreaths at the windows outside.  I love Christmas and I love to decorate.  The house always seems so bare in mid January when I take it all down.

We were blessed with a cancellation at the Siesta Royale in Siesta Key, Fla.  It's rather an old school renovated motel with all the space we need ~ a short walk to the pool and the white beach of Siesta Key so we will spend a week down there in February.  Something to look forward to!

Hope all is good with everyone.  I'm friends with Debbie Sweet on Facebook.  A very active Forum member.  She passed away suddenly yesterday.  Please keep her daughter, Jenn and family in you prayers.

Hope to be back before Christmas.  Maybe a picture or two.........

Good morning Kitty.  Not so cold this morn at 27 so far.  I was shocked to see John and Barb, from this forum,

go.  Then my dad the same year, 2010.  I put up some outdoor lights here and there but didn't spend to much

time outdoors.  Brian and I were lucky to have so many warmer days to get things done.  My Subaru Baja is

just about ready to face the Winter, just have to get an wheel alignment sometime soon.  Brian's rock wall

must be lots further along.

I spent lots of time yesterday, getting medical assistance forms around for 2022.

Yesterday I could see a rabbit sitting in the driveway perfectly still for a long time before wandering off.  Nothing

in the cameras this morning.  Not nearly as many Christmas lights up in our neighborhood this year.  None visable

from our home.  My wife got more Christmas shopping done, think she's almost done.  We're supposed to bake and

decorate Christmas cookies Wednesday.

Hope you and Brian have a good day.

Ernie

Yesterday would've been Cocoa's birthday.  2006-2019

Good morning Susan.  We got a lot done outdoors in the warmer December temps.  Got the new sub

frame installed in my Baja, then the new frame rails welded in, then the struts, lower control arms with

new alignment cam bolts, installed.  Ready for Winter.  Wasn't expecting that right at the beginning of Winter.

Glad you got your decorations up, we've just finished the last of them but they will be up until after New Years.

A Winter vacation in Florida sounds great.  I remember being down there in 1966, wearing a t-shirt on Christmas

day.

Sorry for your friend and her family.

Have a good day.  Hope Finn is doing well.

Good morning Kitty.  Snowing here and some on the ground, think getting more tonight but

melting before Christmas day in the rain.  People will have to see this as their white Christmas.

My wife bought a few more things yesterday.

I'm working on an old antenna and took a newer one down out of that 70 foot pine tree.  They

are small antennas because they are vhf, around 147 Megahertz.  I think I'm done reworking

joints and connections on the older antenna.  I'm thinking of stacking them on top of the huge

beam, that's mounted on 2 inch pipe.

Glad I'm done working on the Baja, the antennas are a hobby and I stop to warm up and have a

coffee.  I was lucky to get all those warm days.  Hope Brian is happy with what he got done on the

stone wall.

Today our daughter and family comes over to bake Christmas cookies and decorate them.  We've done

that far back as I can remember.

Have a nice day.

Ernie

48 inches of snow we got last December.
