Good morning Kitty, Paul, and all. Warm here at 69 for early morn. Looks like the rain finally stopped
about an hour ago. Wife probably stayed up until it stopped. Rained all day yesterday so were all tired
of it, especially the pups. Rain never did over run our drains and ditches, takes a lot of water to do that.
I'm very glad to be smoke free Kitty, doesn't cross my mind but I'm sure it would if I were living in some
kind of trauma. I can't imagine sending my kids back to school in the Ukraine. I'm certain parents have
trouble sending their kids back here in the states with our shootings but so much worse in a war zone.
Our grand kids are home schooled, thank goodness. If I had kids in school we would have taken them out
after that last shooting. We do have our granddaughter in college now though. Lots of ex military students
in college like I was.
I see the trough of rain is moving east so you might get lots of rain through the city and up in Connecticut.
Don't know how long it will take to move out into the ocean. We still have pieces of the front moving through
here today and Wednesday. I might get down to the farm Thursday. Cut down those last branches that are
rubbing the garage roof and move all the branches that I've cut, will be lots of work but less with the backhoe.
Will take the extensions from my loader bucket so it carries branches better.
I worked on my antenna rotor a little yesterday. Noticed the end of the potentiaometer is broken off, that shows
which direction the antenna is pointing and signals the end of the rotation. I have no way to fix it and rewind
the wire windings on it so ordered a refurbished one on ebay. Spent so much of savings on granddaughters
college but need to try to move projects forward anyway.
Going to walk the pups out through the woods later in the morning for a while because it's getting hard to get
them up before daylight. When hunting season starts in November will have to go back to predawn on the road.
I would think by Sept 25 the humidity would be gone and cooled off but can't be sure about one day. I've seen
years where it seemed like we were getting a second Summer. Hope the one day is good for your 5k. I tried to
run in them but my jogging was to slow. Maybe back in my Army days I was jogging fast enough.
Hope you all have a good day. Fall is right on top of us now, love Fall but Winter comes fast.
Ernie.
Princess, back behind Brandy, she left us Labor Day 7 years ago. I miss her.

I feel very impacted by the Queen's death.....I watched her coronation 70 yrs ago....on our first TV.....so sad....

Good morning Kitty and all. You should see a huge memorial for the queen over the next few days Kitty.
Think you had a tv years before my family did.
We ended up getting more rain yesterday but didn't interfere with my tree trimming on the farm. Was a
little stressful for me to strap myself to the tree and use both hands on the 8 foot saw, was still 3 different
trees against the garage roof, more branches left than I thought. Still might put a rope on another tree to
pull it away from the trailer when I cut it down. Has large branches already rubbing on the trailer roof.
Drove the Monte SS to the farm to carry the saw with me, trip went without incident.
We're supposed to get rain for 3 days after Saturday. At least clear for our nieces wedding Saturday.
Enjoy the day all.

Good morning, all.
Yes, Kitty, she reigned for so long, it's hard to think of anyone else as their monarch. I am one block away from the Queen Elizabeth II Gardens, a small park in the middle of downtown. I assume there will be some type of memorial there. A pretty place with plants and flowers. There is a stone walk with the name of every UK county and commonwealth nation.

Good morning, dear Sensational Senior friends,
I feel as if I have been missing for weeks and now trying to catch up with all of you and your comings and goings.
I also have on the television and have been watching the news of the Queen's passing and a new King Charles III. I have always been fond of the Brits. I had a very close relationship to a gal/couple who became our neighbors. She introduced me to the drink "Shandy" and her husband was an executive with Detroit Diesel ~ transferred from Birmingham, England. I loved watching The Crown ~ I believe a new Season is also in the works.
Summer is waning here... The nights are cooler. I am taking Finn tomorrow to a Splash at our Avon Lake pool. It is closed now and they allow the pups to come in for a fundraiser. I may be sending pictures.
I've enrolled in a local venue for yoga. The first session was a bit agonizing but I need to get back in shape. I'm like Ernie.....some COVID pounds have crept in on me.....hard to get them off as you age.
Lovely day here.... I will try to come more often.

Good morning Susan, Paul, and all. Cool here at 53. I've been walking the pups off road later
in the morning lately. They don't want to get up early now.
I worked at getting broken bolts out of an old antenna rotor yesterday. A small one I have. Still
waiting for parts on the large one, ordered it on a Sunday and he only ships on Saturday.
Can feel Summer slipping away. I love Fall but not in any hurry for Winter.
Went to the farm Thursday. Got the rest of those branches cut. It's a little hard to let go and depend
on the safety belt strapped to the tree at first. Need both hands to use the pole saw.
Glad Finn is having a good time in the water. We will be traveling north to a nieces wedding today so
our pups will be excited to be around the dogs up there.
Have a great day all.

Good morning all.....we have a cloudy start to our day.....possible showers.....so sad the passing of the Queen....she had a long life... have a good smoke free day
Sep-12
Good morning all. Going to be another rainy day here but was a nice day for nieces wedding Saturday.
I did watch some of the twin towers 60 minute special last night, sad day.
So we've been to two weddings in the last couple weeks, I'm hopeful for the young couples. I spent lots
of time with granddaughter while she was growing up. She's a very special girl.
Pups were worn out, they're happy to be home resting.
Have a great day all.
