Just thought I would pop a quick post on to wish my March 2019 quit buddies a very Merry Christmas.

It has now been 2 years 9 months since we quit and most days it seems like I have always been a non-smoker.  I never thought I would feel this way as it was a really big part of my life -- I would go as far as to say, it ruled me a lot of the time.  I shall have to do a calculation again soon to see how much I have saved over the time - I cant even imagine how much that it but know it is probably an awful lot of money

So Asad and Cheryl, I hope you are both very well and have kept clear of any nasty illnesses and would like to wish you both a very Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2022 :)

Thank you Jan! So glad you are doing well and keep setting those distance records for NOPE!! I am still smoke free as well...Never regret the decision and hope we continue like this until the good Lord returns. I found out in Dec 2019 I am autoimmune deficient. In March 2020 my employer sent a lot of us home to work remotely. Called us back to the office in July 2021. My doctor sent a letter to HR asking for me to remain at home. They let me but asked for more documentation in Sept. Dr wrote a lengthy letter, said I need to stay home permanently. Still never heard back so I take it as a blessing from the Lord. I placed myself in His hands when I went to war with the nicodeamon and He stayed with me this whole way. Now if I pass someone who smokes, I want to be sick. I hate that I smelled that way once. Thank you Jan for remembering me ..please stay safe and may you and yours enjoy the season of Joy!! Happy holidays!!

Hi Cheryl - so sorry to hear you have been through so much with your health.  Hopefully this awful virus will leave us before too long and we can all get back to the kind of life we had before.  I actually had covid about 6 weeks ago now but I think I was saved from a life changing illness because I am fully vaccinated.  My main worry was keeping my husband safe who had a transplant 4 years ago so has a supressed immune system... thankfully I didn't share it with him or with anyone else that I know of and have come out the other side.  My aim now is to not get it again!!!! lol

I wish you and yours a very happy  and healthy Christmas :)

Well here we are again - today is my 3rd anniversary of quitting which actually doesn't seem possible!!  Three years ago today I made that pact with myself that there would be no more cigarettes and I can honestly say I have kept to that pact.  There were plenty of occasions in the beginning when the urge to smoke was so great but I am so pleased I resisted it.

I hope my other March 2019 quit buddies are doing well... none of seem to come here as often any more but would lovely to catch up with you.

Spring is nearly here and covid seems to be backing down (I ended up having it twice!!!) so hopefully this year will be better in a lot of ways.  My heartfelt thoughts go out to everyone in Ukraine though... a dreadful time for them - so sad that people feel war is the answer to sort out problems.  A very simplistic way I know, but war and pain is not the answer

Take care everyone and I hope this post finds you all well

I think perhaps I am the only one who returns here now from my quit buddies... but wanted to share the 4 year celebration.  Four whole years - I can hardly believe it but so glad I did it and persevered to be smoke free.  I have stopped counting how much I have saved and virtually stopped thinking about smoking.  Every now and then I have a dream in which I have one lit but they are very few and far between

So hope Asad and Cheryl are keeping well and healthy - hope you come back here one day and let me know all is well :)
