Hey June

Congratulations on 3 weeks smoke-free and also on finding this forum.

Here you will find all the information and support you will need to ensure that your quit is for life.  Read as much as you can and post often - when I first came here, I was told to post until my fingers hurt.  I did and it worked.

I would suggest that you make your way over to the January welcome group.  Here's a link:

There you will find a lot of information to help you in your quit and also meet others who are quitting this month.  The mutual support of others who are at the same stage of their quit as ours is essential as they understand just how we are feeling at each stage.  Quitting isn't easy but it is even more worthwhile than you can imagine.

You can do this.

My name is Beverly and I quit 10 days ago.  I quit for seven years when I was getting ready for and having children - it seemed easy in retrospect.  Quitting for me...another matter.  I regret the day I ever picked another one up.  But I am glad to find this forum because I am having some weak moments during the days even though I was only smoking about 1 or 2 a day when I finally quit.  I am on Chantix and I am so grateful that I started working for me about 2 to 3 months in - I thought it never would kick in fully.  I am holding on and love the NOPE mantra!
