Jenny, keep pushing and I know you'll be able to get through it. The toughest part is the first few days and then after a while it will be like nothing. I've quit for 3 years now and tbh I still get cravings but it's nothing like it was when I first quit and I chew gum during the day while working and that helps a lot.
I hope you wake up feeling confident on your third day BUT if for any reason you don't wake up that way, I hope you push to make it that way. You got this girly!

Hello all. I just finished my 15 minute free consultation with the psychologist I will be seeing. It was amazing. Light was shed on why I think and behave the way I do and always have done in all of my relationships. I try and always do avoid conflict because it causes me too much pain to have someone dislike me. As a result I compromise what I want and value, feel dissatisfied then break up. More on this later. I know the lozenges fit in here... The image of always being sweet and kind and pretty. I slowly get to the bottom of things, the more I reduce my nicotine intake!

Cloud, thank you! I’ve heard the 3rd year can be the magic number for craves to settle down, so I’m hoping to get there.

Jerthie, that’s great you had such a good consultation! The reasons our minds do what they do has always fascinated me. It sounds like this will be a wonderful journey for you. I really need to get into counseling, myself. I looked a couple months back and it seemed like no one is taking new clients. I need to try again. Life is hard and having someone help process it can make a huge difference.
I hope you have a nice weekend. I’ve made it through day 5!

Thank you Jenny. I hope you find a therapist that suits you. It really is helpful. Hopping on the forum is also very therapeutic! Day 5! Way to go. Keep on truckin'!

Thank you Andrew! I hope he appears somewhere in this life. How are you doing? I was thinking of you. I haven't seen any posts from you lately. Hope you are staying well! We have breakfast out this morning at 9am. I am using still 6 lozenges a day down from 12. I do want to stay put here until I am ready to go down to 5 then 4 then 3, etc. Are you still using the pouches? I best let you go. Take care Andrew thanks for checking in!

Got through day 6! I actually didn’t even think of smoking until more than an hour after I woke up. Part of that was because I spent an hour trying to buy comic-con tickets for my daughter. They’re quite hard to get! I successfully got tickets for 2 of the 5 days, so she was very happy.
My car’s tire was low on air, so I had to go into a gas station to ask them to turn on the air machine. It was the station I usually buy cigarettes, so it was a little hard. Back home tonight and happy I made it.

Jenny, that is great. It sounds like you are just living life without worrying about having a smoke, and that will get easier the more you keep on doing what is in front of you at the moment without pausing for a cigarette. I am craving a lozenge right now but will just have another cup of coffee instead. I am still motivated to reduce my lozenge intake, but am not in a rush to do a full on quit. I hope we all have a lovely Sunday.
