The Heavy Water War tells the story of one of the most dramatic, but least known chapters of World War II: Nazi Germany’s attempt to build a nuclear bomb and the Allied effort to prevent it.

Its a fine story - very, very brave Norwegians did this.

But its not clear that the Nazis would ever have managed to build an atom bomb with the theoretical direction they'd taken.

(Not impossible the captured ones fooled us, allowing themselves to be overheard discussing methods that definitely would not have worked!)

The German scientists were capable to create horrific weapons and useful machines - just have a look at most of the stransport engines we have these days.
