Rabbi of Jerusalem visits the Pope …

At the Pope’s private desk, the Rabbi sees a very ornate phone. The Pope says it is a direct line to God and invites the Rabbi to use it.

Rabbi makes the call and it is God! They have a nice conversation. After the call, the Pope says, “That will cost €100.” The Rabbi pays for the call.

A year later, the Pope is in Jerusalem and visits the same Rabbi. On the Rabbi’s desk is a similar phone. Rabbi invites the Pope to make a call to God. Pope makes the call and talks to God.

After the call, the Rabbi says, “That will cost 2 cents.” Pope is surprised and asks, “Why so inexpensive?”

Rabbi says, “No worries, it is a local call.”
