James Joyce was an Irish novelist, poet and short story writer. He published Portrait of the Artist in 1916 and caught the attention of Ezra Pound.
With Ulysses, Joyce perfected his stream-of-consciousness style and became a literary celebrity.
The explicit content of his prose brought about landmark legal decisions on obscenity.

Best line:
"No pen, no ink, no table, no room, no time, no quiet, no inclination."

Great reading by an outstanding thinker by choice,
It couldn't be more up-to-date if we had his poise .

(my favorite)
All day I hear the noise of waters
Making moan,
Sad as the sea-bird is when, going
Forth alone,
He hears the winds cry to the water's
Monotone.
The grey winds, the cold winds are blowing
Where I go.
I hear the noise of many waters
Far below.
All day, all night, I hear them flowing
To and fro.

I heard he was a bandit from the same-shape brigade. Thats why the bugger has a statue in Dublin.
i have a clip where he advocated that people should justify their existence at a eugenics tribunal every few years.

OK. maybe I was thinking of a bugger called Yates. Anyway, nobody in Ireland gives a shit about James Joyce nor his literature which is probably still imposed by the regime.
