Hope you have recovered fully from your month long trip! Sounds like you were busy busy but had a memorable time!

I don't even know where to find the requirements for what we were supposed to do with the FQ swap we got. Can you clue me in?

to pick up the longarm and bring it back up to Colorado.

I know that will make you happy.  Great that you have space for it.

I will also be trying to pick up some business at some of the local guilds up in Colorado.......

Any of us would be glad to recommend your beautiful work.  I don't think picking up business should be a problem.

Thanks for your comments on my simple quilt tops.  I was happy to get them done w/o all my usual tools.

I know all of you retreaters have been waiting to see what we would like you to do with your "Ugly fat quarter"!

2020(can you believe it) Retreat Challenge

FEATURE your fat quarter in an item you make that is "SOMETHING YOU PUT SOMETHING IN".

The maximum size ix 24x36, the size of your large cutting mat.  We want to be able to display them all.

Remember participation is voluntary as with all retreat activities.  (sounds like Pirate has already bowed out)  There will be prizes.

Let me know if you have questions.  Let your creativity soar!  You have almost a year to figure this out.  I'm sure you will outdo yourselves as you did this year for Misha's challenge.

Bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (dry). The BRAT diet for diarrhea. Might be a little rough to get the banana or applesauce down Mandy.

I obviously haven't been on here forever.  Going to try to become more active.  I want to disable my Facebook account and I sure want to come to retreat this coming year.  Is the ugly fat quarter a particular fabric or just any ugly fabric?

Well, luckily, being on FB has nothing to do with the Retreat.  As you remember, all you gotta do is be active on the forum and get your registration postmarked on the appropriate day.   The 2020 Retreat hasn't been announced yet but when it is, it will have its own thread.

I hear ya about deactivating FB.  It can be excessively annoying.  I finally went through (quite a while ago) and culled all the "friends".  If their posts made me angry, out they went.  It's *my* FB account and I don't need to get angry reading it.    What my FB account is now made up of is almost exclusively craft groups and crafting friends.  I do have family members on there, too.  I also make it a point to (almost) never post anything that requires a lengthy or serious reply/consideration.  FB is just not the venue for that because people are *SO BRAVE* behind the firewall of their computer.  They say things and in such a way that they would never do if they were face to face.   That's pretty cowardly.   But, for the most part, those kinds of people are no longer on my FB list, and once again, FB is a fluffy and pleasant place for me to be.  :-)
