yuck.  Glad we're enough south.  It's only 40 here but wet and dreary.  Daughter says it is 28 & sleeting in Abilene.  lovely.

We did get a little bit of sleet down here - but not as much as y'all did.

Geeze...bad weather all around...

Glad the fires in Colorado are being helped by the snow... I heard they are not all the way out as there are some huge logs that are still smoldering - hopefully the snow keeps the flames from spreading as much.

I wish we would get some wet weather here...its supposed to be windy again today, but not as fierce as yesterday. My Sis said she packed some stuff and has her two sons ready to come help if they would need to evacuate - but so far the voluntary evacuation line has not reached their house. There were lots of big rigs that were toppled on the freeways yesterday...and a lot of Halloween decorations flew away.

Sending prayers for all affected...

This has been the oddest, strangest, awfullest year....

More is coming in from the south.  I have taken a shower, have a cup of hot chocolate, and am watching the weather coverage of all the broken branches and lines down in OKC.  Up around Woodward, roads look bad also.  the storm trackers are out in force!

Just showed the weather, ice from Abilene northeast,  coming up this way.

They just said ice at Abilene and San Angelo.  Another round coming up from your area.  Hope you don't get too much!  Ain't it nice, tho, to be able to stay home and not have to get out in it!!

Also, after doing the DNA test, I'm all interested in working on my family genealogy.  It's taking a lot of time and I am finding all sorts of interesting stuff.  Still have a ways to go

Run away!  Run away!   Genealogy is HIGHLY addicting!  With the advent of Ancestry.com and other online genealogy sites, it is SOOOOOO easy to get hooked on following just "one last link".  I've been on Ancestry since 2009 and it has really opened up information about my family & my husband's family.  Although I already knew the core members of my family's branch, it did fill out other branches.  Additionally, I actually verified an entire new branch of my great-grandfather's brother and have been in contact with members of that branch.  *That* was very exciting!   I also discovered the descendants of one of my grandfather's sister's branch and have been in contact with some of those people also.

I have been known to stay up until 4am, just chasing down leads and hints.

Soooo .. forwarned is forearmed!  :-)

our temps are dropping, I met my old team for lunch and it feels like sleet in Fort Worth, but it's still above freezing (barely).  Going to be a messy night unless it dries up.  Definitely so nice not to have to worry about driving home from work.  Trees still haven't dropped their leaves - silly plants.

I don't think I'll toss it cuz *actually*, if I put ecru bridal tulle over the affected areas and hung it back up, no one would ever see it.  Just like I never saw the deterioration when it was hanging on the wall.

That's a great "fix" and totally what a professional fixer would offer I believe.  Go for it and take it off your board.  Then onto the next one.

Wow Carolyn!!!  I haven't been here for a week so I'm just reading your great news about you ear healing on its own.  That is wonderful.  Now you will be able to hear us talking about you from across the room at the retreat...

Only how much we LOVE our princess though!

Your Kyphoplasty surgery sounds like a great solution for you.  I trust all goes as planned.
