If you take a few days off for bereavement, has it ever been your experience to have to find your own coverage?

DH had his back surgery Tuesday afternoon.  I spent the night at the hospital.  He did very well.  Was up walking that night at his request.  We came home Wednesday afternoon.  The long-acting pain med that they injected at the surgical site has worn off so he has more pain.  That will get better.  Wish I could convince him to take more than Tylenol for pain....Stubborn man!  Hopefully he will be ready to help me in a couple weeks as it will be my turn.  Have to get this shoulder replaced in order to continue doing normal things like combing my hair.

I caught up. Fun reading all of these stories!  Prayers for everyone’s illnesses.

I had Chemo #3 Wednesday and the shot for white blood cells yesterday. That’s the worst part. Only 1 more to go at the end of August. Yay!

That's what I thought. I was required to find coverage for all the patients. I took 2 days, so it wasn't too bad, but boy was I irritated. That's a boss job, I think

I'm so glad Lisa got to come for a visit!  I am delighted to hear how she appreciated so many of you retro/vintage patterns!

I also had a Gunne Sax dress.  When we were dating (after many years...) my *now* DH took me to the Gunne Sax factory outlet in SF and I bought a pale yellow dress very similar to the one you showed.  They were totally Princess-type dresses and one felt so girlie in them.
