I'm so glad you were able to come home. Now you'll get some personal, loving care from Cathy. I hope you heal up really fast. You are in my prayers.
Kind of funny about the hearing aides causing a false temp reading.
Two graduations in your family - what an accomplishment.

I'm so happy that you have returned home! Honestly, a hospital is no place to be... it's full of sick people!
Your recovery will be so much better in your own house, with Cathy.

Any more news on Carolyn? I'm hoping she's doing well on her recovery. Any updates? I love that you keep us posted - thank you.
I bet you're extra busy this time of year. I always enjoy hearing about the new chicks, lambs, bees, etc. and of course all of your travels too. And you still find time to sew - amazing.

Kidney Update: I saw the surgeon on Thursday and it turned out the doctor had to remove one of my kidneys because the tumor was very small but was definitely renal cancer cells and was at Stage 3 because it was starting to invade the fat surrounding the kidney. By taking the kidney we are sure it is totally gone. I will be doing Keytuda therapy for a year to keep from any future occurrence. I’m sure you have seen the advertising for Keytuda on TV. It’s immunotherapy, not chemotherapy. I start by having an infusion every 3 weeks for 3-4 sessions and if I tolerate it well, I then go every 6 weeks. I don’t expect to be sick, maybe just fatigued (I hope). Cathy went home last Friday and I’m doing good. I’m able to drive and went to the final graduation event for the granddaughters yesterday. One got her Nursing Degree and the other her Teaching Degree. It was an open house type of event so everyone could just come and go. I had a good time.
I can’t sing Cathy’s praises high enough. She was such a big help to me and helped me understand in detail what my diagnosis meant. She spent two full days at the hospital with me and then every day after that was at my home and we never stopped talking. Between the two of us, we have solved all the world’s problems.

Priceless, Carolyn, absolutely priceless! That's what a good friend is for.
