Priceless, Carolyn, absolutely priceless! That's what a good friend is for.

**GEEZ** that must have been scarey! But prudent, I imagine.
It's wonderful that Cathy was there to guide through the entire process and make it more understandable. And you guys were able to enjoy each other's company! :-)

I'm glad your surgery is now behind you and pray it will be smooth sailing now. What a blessing to have such a good friend.

We wish we had solved all the world's problems! Carolyn did whine a little about doing some of the things she needed to do like walking, using her incentive spirometer, eating, etc. I told her she may be the princess but this time I was the boss. She really did well. i complained that she didn't have one of her pecan pies read for me. She walked me through making one. It was delish as usual. I now have the recipe. WE went out to lunch with her WSU lunch bunch to some place called New Ways, loose ground beef burgers and really good onion rings. Patty, if you haven't been to the Donut Palace, make sure she takes you. Yum! We did talk and talk and talk. Even though I brought kits, I never sewed a stitch. Too busy talking. I'm glad I went and could be helpful. I'm praying that the Keytruda keeps the nasty old Cancer cells away.
Now I hope this note will "post".

I'm so glad to read about the success of your surgery. Your recovery sounds like it is going well too. I'll have to look for the Keytuda commercial - I never watch the commercials (pause & then fast forward through them). What a blessing Cathy is to you.
We just got back from a relaxing week in South Lake Tahoe. This is likely our last big trip. Rick's back is getting so bad it's hard for him to sit long enough to get most places. I guess stay-cations are in our future.
Keep healing. You are in my prayers.

I just received a thank you from Marcia Hohn and Quilter's Cache for the "generous" donation that all the retreaters gave to her site. We again used one of the blocks, the sawtooth star and it's variations, from Quilter's Cache for our lotto block this year. We had great participation and 5 of us went home with enough blocks for a quilt.

That’s great Cathy. I know our donations over the years have really helped her site.
Ladies, here’s a pic of my new grandson Monty Tyler Price.
the midwife didn’t make it in time and I had to deliver him!!! It was both exhilarating and terrifying. He was really blue but I used my hand to clean his face, nose, and clean out his mouth, finally he cries as I was rubbing his chest. (Something I read).
