I just heard from Cathy, since the forum doesn't seem to let her post anything, she asked me to let you all know Carolyn's surgery went well, they took out the kidney but she is doing well. Cathy was at the hospital this evening, but has gone to Carolyn's house so they could both could get some rest.

I'm catching up on msgs and I'm just reading this.  What a great relief for Carolyn to know she has Cathy there for her to help her after surgery.

((((( Carolyn )))))  I'm so glad to hear your surgery went well.  A friend of mine donated a kidney to her cousin's transplant chain a month ago and she's hard to keep down.  Very active but she obeyed her Dr/nurses and popped back to her feet very quickly.  May the same be for you.

Hi everyone.  It feels so good to get caught up here again.  Glad to hear things are going pretty well for everyone.  I am sorry to hear you may be having to investigate something about your jaw Viola.  May you have nothing too challenging to deal with.

I've been helping my Mom a bit extra due to some extra medical visits and procedures.  But she is finally adjusting and healing well.  I see as we get older there may come to be choices we have to make for our health/life that are not all our favorite choice but we still have to make them.  That's reality.  Just decide and get on with living your best life.

By way of a DJ update...  he adopted a puppy.  And his life has changed dramatically.  He's getting great training for what it is like to be a parent of a little one!!!  (He's not going to be any time soon!)  One time he said, "I can't believe he made a mess on the floor before I got home today!  He did so well yesterday."  I just laughed at him and suggested it might take him a bit more practice than just ONCE!  Anyway they seem to be learning and enjoying each other.  Two weeks ago they took a driving trip to Houston with a couple of friends from school and DJ took the dog.  Everyone got on well and Merlin didn't have to be boarded again.  Here is a picture of "Merlin Over the Mississippi.  DJ must be feeding him right as the 8lb puppy he adopted in March!!
