Cathy I think I sent you my retreat evaluation. Let me know if you got it. Used my cell phone to send it which was tricky and I hope it worked.

I did receive the retreat evaluation now I just need to make myself DO it. But... how can you improve on perfection!?!? I'll see what I can come up with.
I've been behind as since I've been home from the retreat as we began fully into selection for the house. Progress on the foundation has been made and the foundation footing were poured and then the foundation walls (set on top) were framed. We were supposed to get those poured yesterday but we got more snow that was expected so we are waiting for it to be safe for the workers and appropriate conditions for concrete to be poured.
Two weeks ago tonight my sister contacted me that our Mom wasn't feeling well. After my sister went to Mom's she kept my updated that Mom felt heaviness in her chest and just wanted to go to bed and sleep. We both thought 911 should check her out. Mom's power had been out all day and the house was cold and pitch black so Mom was readying for bed. 911 arrived and checked her out and determined she was having a cardiac episode and they transported her to the hospital. A conference call with the ER doc, incoming Cardiologist, my sister and me led us to understand the hospital was on generator power to they were hesitant to take her to a Cath Lab. For a 91yo there might not be a good outcome if there was a problem. So we authorized them to use a clot busting medication which thankfully Mom responded well to. My DH said I should go to be there so at midnight I bought a ticket to fly the next morning. By the time I arrived at the hospital the next afternoon she looked great and was doing well. I stayed the week and helped my sister do some chores relative to things for Mom. She's home and recovering and doing well but I feel a bit like I'm behind in life!

One more thing... I've been playing around with "Chat Books" app. We saw this introduced on SharkTank a couple of years ago and decided to give it a try. My Mom does not have an electronic way to get new pictures so I end up printing ones I have and then sending piles to her. I thought a book a month might be a good way to share. They are loose to fall all over buy some pics in a little softcover booklet she can thumb through whenever she wants and then take along to show friends. One of the booklets I did was many quilts from Show & Tell at this year's retreat. They offered I could have a little video clip made so here you go! I hope you can just click on this link to see it.
Enjoy all!!

Wow Judy, I knew you made a trip to CA , so I figured it had to do with your mom. I’m so glad she is better!
iwill be spending some time with Dad in May while my sister is gone. His daily life is a struggle, but we are doing our best to keep him in his home.
as far as the evaluation!……even if you just have good things to say, it helps us know if we can repeat at the same hotel. We have done some hotel hopping the last few years!

Judy I am so glad to read your mom is doing better. I loved the little slide show of the show and tell. So many beautiful projects from our prolific group.

I'm glad you went to see your mom. You won't regret that plane fare and you were able to make some memories with her and your sis. Always a good thing.
