That's very pretty!  The hexies look small.  What size are they?

Thank you Marcia...I'm using a 1.5" punch....which reminds me I need to punch more..I use very old cards, mostly Christmas cards that my Mr. used to get from his route.

Yes, only when I have free time, usually at night....I switch off with my yo-yo coverlet...back & forth.

Here is what I made for my friend, Liberty, for Christmas.  She is an avid gardener.  It is applique with silk flowers in the corners.  I tested the pattern for a magazine.

I think I really prefer doing applique to regular piecing anymore.  More creative and don't have to be sew precise!    Funny how we find different techniques that we love.  A few years ago, I would not have done it as much as I am now.
