Re company is coming, one of my fav memories of my son was a cleaning day, me giving every one their assignments and him asking who was coming to visit. When I answered no one he asked then why are we cleaning...

You are very welcome. It was easy though I am redoing a few placements because I did not like the color arrangement. Otherwise it would be done. This one will give me 4 tops to quilt. The bathroom remodel is done except I still have cabinets and basebords to paint. But all the construction materials are off my table so I can quilt now. FINALLY.

Yup! I've gotten that reaction too.
Mr. Pirate, coming in the house, which is very nicely cleaned: "Is company coming?" ::slowly thunk head on wall:: No, not this time. :-)

Wow! 42 UFOs plus an additional 10. Impressive. I thought I was bad. I have about 10 flimsies to make backings for and 6 or7 ready to bind. I try to tell myself to not start any more flimsies, but Dee keeps showing cute ones that I want to make.

Shelley, it is so great that you will take one day a week to get at your quilting! It will feel good to get to know your new machine! And while your idea of organizing your quilting by size is certainly unique, we all know that if it works for you, then go for it! It is moving things along!
cant wait to see what you get done!
oh, and then you will have binding to take along on your outings!

You said, "oh, and then you will have binding to take along on your outings!"
Except that, unless the edge is scallops, I always do my bindings by machine!

I am so glad you have finally come to your senses and realized you need to have quilting back in your life! Welcome back!

I plan to do that after I reorganize my sewing room again. My long arm is being picked up this weekend by Kathi Shunn and her DH. I decided that my shoulders were not going to tolerate the required movement of the machine although it does move easily and smoothly. Those of you who were at the retreat may have noticed the pain I was having with my right shoulder. I have moved out of my sewing room lots of UFOs and other items. One of the guest rooms is full of them now. I will be selective about what goes back in. I will be quilting by check from now on unless it is a small project like a mug rug or table runner that I can do on my home machine. The machine is going to a good home and will be used more than I ever could and the quilting will be better than any I could do.
