What Are You Working On Now?   General Discussion

Yes, I have thought about that, and thought of a couple of other things I *could* do with it too.  I even purchased a DVD with a video of two rug ladies demonstrating the technique, and also bought the adjustable frame.  I do intend to use it someday.  However, I have PLENTY of other fabric I could use for that - specifically, I'm thinking of using my stash of yarn-dyed plaids.  I have quite a bit of that - enough for a rug or two.  And as I purge, it is likely I will open more boxes with some of the "thin stuff."  In the meantime, I am glad to bestow what I have found so far to Patty, as she has such a specific use for it.  For now, I would like to concentrate on using more of my "good stuff" and start making more scrap quilts and using some of my home dec fabric to make some totes too.  Those should go over well at the family reunion raffle next year!

You are right, those home deco fabrics make great bags, and never too early to get ready for the next reunion!!

thin fabric,

string block foundations, just another use for thin fabric!

Yeah, but I already have more muslin and other stuff I can use for that - more than I can use in a lifetime!  haha

Yeah, but I don't! (at least not that I want to use!)  besides, the thinner the better for foundation, otherwise I think it makes the quilt too heavy!

Found some of your eyeballs today, going to be great for monsters!!

It is growing very nicely.

I really love how this is coming along. I actually brought my hexi cardboard pieces as I have a big scrap bin in New Mexico where I am but I have not done zip yet. I did finish the shorts that I brought to finish and got the hand hemmed and put in the closure and wore them out yesterday.

I do plan to begin a hexi project with english paper piecing for taking along and I love your pattern but in a different color way.
