That turquoise is perfect! Good memories of your project that benefitted not only the children receiving the "blankets" but also the men in the prison. They were able to contribute to society in a positive way.

sounds like one of the wonders of the quilting world...but kind of overwhelming!

You remember our little travel trailer? I've been using that as an infirmary! That's been my quarentine room since Tuesday. Sadly, Mr. Pirate has come down with a sniffly nose ... BUT .. so far that's the only symptom. I'm crossing my fingers it doesn't develope further.

As you might have expected, your helpful advice worked. I was so surprised that it only took one hour! (Who, me, impatient?)
I put the block in a Corningware casserole dish with the hot water and a squirt of Dawn in the laundry room sink at 6:30 AM and checked to see if there was any progress an hour later. I was so pleasantly surprised to see that the stain was gone. (I figured that the casserole dish would hold the heat from the hot water better than the stainless steel sink .... )
Anyhow, thanks again, Dee, for coming to my rescue. I printed out the instructions for future reference. The block is now air drying on a white towel as I type.
By the way, the Etsy designer of this fabric has no clue on the correct way to construct a Word Search puzzle.

There was a swing set with very long chains in a public park in Rochester, NY that I loved to jump off of after swinging so high that it was probably very dangerous. The "landing areas" had a deep "pits" where we kids had pounded wide impressions in the ground from the impact of our landings.
Those were the days ....

If you are washing a quilt yoy can add a squirt of dawn as a color washer as well. Even though I precast my fabrics there can still be running over time. I have had blues and greens run in addition to reds.
I am so glad it rescued your block.

yippie! your block is saved!
I gotta print out those instructions too. I am sure I have some bleeding reds in my stash..

Sometimes don't you wonder how we survived our childhood? I had a trapeze hanging from this big old walnut tree in the barn lot and would ride my pony like crazy underneath it, grabbing hold of it while he kept running.
