just playing around with a pattern seen on FB. Not sure that the effect was worth the effort, especially since I messed up and cut about 30 or so blocks wrong, wasting 4.5" squares (which are now 2.5" squares in my scrap bin). Lesson learned, if you make a template that does NOT include the seam allowance, make a BIG Visible note on it because when you sleep you may forget before you finish cutting. sigh

Looks like a fun quilt. Guess you now need to figure out how to use the little squares in something else.

Well, most of the sides have a seam allowance....... I need notes for things now too. This morning I went grocery shopping without my phone. Guess who wanted to reach me? He said it won't happen again. I thought he took my phone. No, I found this posted on the door to the garage!

Needless to say, I have been getting ready for the retreat. The only real sewing has been making the lotto blocks. They are pretty. Can't wait to see the others. Hope to have a couple finished tops by the time I come home from the retreat.

ROTGL!!! I did a similar thing, went on a quick trip to the PO, truck wouldn't start coming back--forgot my phone! Had to borrow the Postmasters phone to phone home so hubby could come in and jump the truck! Do you think I will live it down? No, but there is no sign on the door!!

I think that's a case of getting older and wiser. You take your phone with you 999 times and it's the 1000th time that you need it.
