The quilt is beautiful. Your amazing quilting skills will definitely make it even more beautiful.  I do hope that the cousin has some understanding of time and talent that has gone into the making of it.

Other Daughter came over this morning for a two hour session where she learned how to load a practice piece on Lily Aurora with the Red Snappers. She learned to write her name and do a few tricks like that on the practice piece which was a two yard piece of solid red prequilted fabric I  had picked up on sale a JoAnn's.  She tried some pantograph work and did some of my loopy daisies that I had learned from an online lesson. She really liked panto work so I showed her my othr pantos and discussed how easy it is to buy more.

Then she told me that there's a chance that she might be moving in with a boyfriend. (My heart dropped, not a good thing to tell me after I have watched her get married and divorced four times. I bit my tongue on hearing that news because her choice of men seems to be jinxed.)

I suggested that we leave Lily Aurora right where she sits in my basement since things might be "in flux" for 2022 ; her son is not moving out to go to college because he will be taking online classes at some computing school in Florida which looks very risky to me). Told her she is very welcome to come and do quilting work on Lily Aurora at any time because I will be home to let her in and she can run down into the basement and stitch away; I will ignore her unless she screams for help because she has created  loopy stitches or something like that.

Thank you! I do know the cousin apprecates quilts and that is why I am making it for her. She was overjoyed when I asked her and her mother about making it for her. I am pretty certain that she will treasure it.

Turned out terrific...and your quilting will make it gorgeous!

Thank you! Now that there is only quilting and binding the end of this one is in sight. I am so thrilled it is a finished top!

whoops!!!

Hopefully Other Daughter can get her life in order one of these days. Your solution to leave Lily Aurora in your basement is a wise one!

Yeah.

I have the sad feeling that it is going to be another grim "Dear Abby" story coming down the pike. She's fifty years old and you'd think she would have learned some common sense by now ....

I've noticed a tendancy about people, they seem to make similar mistakes over and over, especially with regard to relationships.
