Very nice! Adorable animals and a great French braid.

I found a jelly roll and a pattern tucked alongside it when I was looking for something else.  Since I don't typically buy jelly rolls, I suspect that I had won it as a door prize.  It was "mini pearl bracelets" by Lizzy House for Andover Fabrics.  The printed design was small white dots in a circle, hence the name "pearl bracelet" on a background of full spectrum colors, ranging from pale ecru to deep eggplant.

Giveaway: Mini Pearl Bracelets in Summer Daze | Pearl bracelet, Pearls, Mini

The pattern is "Summer at the Beach", a free pattern from England Street Quilts, dated October 2012.   The pattern can be found at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5shkCRirc5SSVczbXVDLVVjemc/view?resourcekey=0-WMAf9-LHUbB_zzCtcO-MPw  .  A blog entry about this pattern can be read at https://englandstreet.blogspot.com/2012/10/summer-in-park-free-jelly-roll-pattern.html .

The pattern is extremely easy, as it's done with strip sets.   Specifically because it *is* so easy, I tucked the jelly roll and pattern away for a later date, knowing that I could piece the top "any time I wanted to".  Of course, the reality is that (for me) out of sight is out of mind.  I promptly forgot all about the jelly roll and the pattern.  It languished in one of my UFO boxes for years.

So, here it is, August 2022, and I have been steadily working on genealogy scrapbooks since 2017.  Quilting really has taken a backseat.  But since my papercrafting room is adjacent to my sewing studio, I constantly hear the fabric calling my name.

When I rediscovered the jelly roll plus pattern ... and realizing once again just how easy this pattern is .. I decided, "Doggone it!  I'm gonna indulge myself and do some piecing!'  That's exactly what I did.

There were leftover bits from the strip sets that made up "Summer at the Beach".  The leftovers were big enough that I couldn't just toss them.  I used existing fabric from my stash and was able to make TWO baby sized quilts!  Summer at the Beach turned out to be 57"x67, both of the baby quilts are 34"x34".

The directions for Summer at the Beach call for one jelly roll of the color prints and one jelly roll of the background fabric.  In my case, I had the color jelly roll but used stash fabric for the background.  However, I didn't have enough white-on-white yardage to make all of the strips sets with the same white yardage, I used several different white-on-whites, so the background of my top is scrappy white.  :-)

All three tops will get hung in the closet to await their turn to be quilted.

Baby quilt #1.   The striped triangles were leftovers of the strip sets.  The gray of the other side of the HST came from my stash, as did the bricks in the border.

Baby quilt #2, with Mr Pirate doing his impersonation of "Kilroy Was Here"  :-)   Honestly, the man is irrepressible!  :-)  Again, the HST were made from leftover strip sets and stash fabric.  The small pieced border of squares was also made from leftover strip sets.  The blue and outer border were from stash fabrics.

Very nice.  But I keep thinking about Minnie Pearl - HOW-DEEEEEE!

I'm glad you took time out to do some piecing and share the phots with us  I really like that pattern and "pinned" it for another day.  And thanks for the idea for the leftover triangles - I've thrown so many of them away.

Quilts are nice, but Kilroy makes the day!  Mr. Pirate always good for a laugh!! At least he will hold quilts!!

Didn’t it feel good to sew again?  Great use of fabrics.  The first quilt is my favorite…but then, I like all quilts…hee heee.

rick will be leaving soon and gone a couple weeks.  I anticipate much sewing time while he is gone.

Nice quilts. Look like you had fun. At least your DH holds your quilts up without too much fuss unlike mine.

very nice, love those colors of course.  Piecing is so relaxing to me.  no decisions to make, just sewing.

I started on the Nova quilt this evening.  I don't think it would work well in novelties, so I decided to do it in red/white/blue and donate to a veteran's group that I quilt for.  Love the secondary star.  And apart from needing to press the diagonal seams open, very easy to sew.

Gosh, that is *so* pretty!   What a great block.  It's going to look terrific when assembled into a quilt!
