thanks Linda. They both need to be about 8 - 10" larger, thus need borders.

While waiting for the border fabric, I went back to the embroidery on my wall hanging. Only a couple more berries to satin stitch, then I need to decide if I'm going to do any more embellishing, perhaps on the butterflies. I'm also thinking about an interesting edge treatment. I think I will do curved corners, maybe even a shaped edge on the sides, kind of like a plaque. It's small so I can get fancy.

We're on the return leg of our road trip, heading back home.
In anticipation of this road trip, I decided to "save" stitching the columns of Inner Cube for that time. I had stacked all the piece parts for each column in the correct order then put each column on its own ziploc bag.
Although I do have hours as a passenger, I'm not working on it *all the time*. But I have been able to complete 2 columns.
Here is the 2nd column. It's hanging on the bathroom door in our trailer ... the only vertical spot we have that I can stand far enough away from to get the entire piece!

looking great - you've made great progress. I'm jealous - I cannot decide on my next handwork project....

Beautiful!!! Your roadwork kits are always so amazing.
I had quite a few handwork projects like that myself but sadly the all got finished and this last summer I have done trips with nothing to work on. Well we are flying to southern California on Thursday and I am happy to say I will have two handwork projects to work on!!!

Dee, you door plaque is gorgeous. No matter what you do for finishing will only add to it.
I wish there was a hand project fairy that would do the prep work, than I would do a lot more.

that's an idea! Though I guess that's what those precut fusible kits are, assuming you just wanted to do blanket stitch and not needle turn.

That is what I need, someone to prep my handwork.
I am happy to say I machine sewed binding to my mini quilt which I can now hand turn.
I also marked a stencil pattern to my little hand quilting block that will be a pillow.....my oldest UFO, partially handquilted and I stopped like 1985....very well aged so gonna finish it as a pillow because I still like it.
I will be taking these two small projects on my long weekend trip and hope to either finish or make a lot of progress.

Stunning!!! I know how much work went into it since I'm working on an EPP project too. It's slow going here. You're making wonderful progress on yours.
