Wow!   That's such a beautiful quilt Ami.   What a lot of time and love went into that one.  Beautiful Colorado setting too.

Is it possible for a quilt to be too busy????  Really wish I hadn't used the blue with white eagles.  I had hoped it would read as a solid but it just doesn't.  Oh well.

what a fun quilt to make - thanks Lynne for sharing the idea.  I'll definitely do this one again.  I was able to use a bunch of my white novelties too.

Oh, I don't think it is too busy.  I love it.

How bright and cheery!  It is fun to make--looks more complicated than it is.

Oh. My. Goodness. I have finally finished Inner Cube. Holy moley. This part is 80"x88".

But ..... I'm not really done. I absolutely LOVE this pattern however I can't help but tweak it. :-)   What I'm going to try is to fill in the perimeter "gaps" with black Fairy Frost fabric. I might also add on a narrow black Fairy Frost border.

I'm doing this because I simply can NOT bear to cut off the points around the edge. The way to retain them is add fabric between them. The Fairy Frost fabric has enough "frosting" on it so that it won't read as a solid, flat black. I'm hoping there will be enough of a difference from the black points that both the points and the border can be seen.

And if there are any mistakes, by golly, they are STAYING there! LOL!

Honest to goodness .... I love this pattern. Once I got over the paralyzing part of *starting* .. and then figuring out how to cut each shape efficiently (I was paranoid about running out of fabric) ... then it was just stitching the pieces together. In a way, *that* part was boring. LOL! But piece by piece, it got done and it was so satisfying to see this top emerge. AMAZING fabrics and color choices. I never would have, in my wildest dreams, come up with this color palette and combinations ... which is why I'm not a designer. I'm just entirely elated about this quilt. :-)

Wow.......and just like that she finished another forever project!!!

Looks great.

congratulations - definitely an accomplishment.  Are you going to quilt this one soon?  It's so pretty I'd be sad to see to added to the UFO closet....
