latest I spy. I knew I couldn't work on this one at the retreat so it was a good one to keep me busy. Putting it together without turning the pieces wrong was a challenge. I used a flannel covered foam board to carry small sections to my machine to stitch. And I still turned a couple of triangles wrong and had to restitch. I'm going to wait to quilt it & look at it again in a few weeks to make sure I didn't miss any others. I asked my husband to help but he said it made his eyes hurt to even look at it - haha.

That is a fantastic and very unusual layout for an I-Spy! Love the colors!

The center of this quilt is beautiful but you have certainly enhanced that beauty. Congrats on a finished UFO top.

I'm looking at the left edge, not sure if there is a problem or not because I can't see the pattern. The other edges are all the same for their 1/4 of the quilt but the second from the to and bottom are different. I love the pattern. It's a lot of HSTs!

I looked at that side of Dee’s quilt also! But, I think it is the optical illusion. When you look at the opposite side you see the triangles like that. You have to start at the pinwheel center and follow the print or non print out to the side of each row….
hard to explain without pointing at it!

you are correct, you have to look in wedges rather than quadrants. The seam in the diamonds goes either all up and down or side to side in each wedge. I finally had to just check those seams to figure it out.

Such a happy quilt! And what an accomplishment! That's a lot of EPP - a lot of time spent hand piecing. I really like it.
