When you do a sewing job you do it well! lol I only hope next time the dog decides to eat one of the other feet and not your cute little Lexi flower! :)

What a lovely patch job! I just did some repairs on a well loved quilt at my dads house…..but it sure wasn’t perfection! Like yours.

I have figured out how to do the Tree of Life!
Terial Magic to the rescue... I knew I needed to 'stiffen' the antimascassar...stuff worked on the Tree too, but sheesh, its taking a super long time to get all the way dry! I will still have to put the netting over it but its on its way!

well I've been a bit busy the last 3 weeks with a new puppy. He's very entertaining, very smart, and very destructive. So we are keeping a close eye on him pretty much 100% of the time. Especially since he was bitten by a baby copperhead snake (venomous) last Friday. Fortunately he isn't messing with the wound on his back toe too much. I say fortunately because he says he feels fine, and wants to run, play, jump, bite, etc. The vet instructions said keep the cone on for 2 weeks and don't let him run or play - yeah right, like that's going to happen. Sigh. He is slowly learning manners and some tricks, but in the meantime....
This all means I haven't been in my sewing room much. I've only been able to do hand work in the "safe room" - the den with everything either covered or removed, fenced off with baby gates. And since my Christmas wreath applique project is stalled while I prep all the custom pieces, I'm working on a hexi project. And I'm kind of starting to like it. It certainly is mindless - though I have to be careful. Puppy has tried to grab it out of my hands a few times.

Dee so sorry about the snake bite. Poor puppy. Hopefully he heals quickly and stays away from snakes!!!
Love your hexi project.

Cute puppy! He looks big--what breed is he? Good thing you saw it happen and got him vet attention. I've seen 7 snakes in my yard so far this summer, much more than I have ever seen here. At least none of ours are poisonous so I don't worry.

Many snakes are territorial so keep those nonpoisonous snakes around.
